I always love your reaction to the additional paper discs! I read somewhere that they put the extra discs in the flakes and broken flakes to provide some extra padding to try to keep the flakes more intact. Keep doing what you’re doing, we appreciate you!

I’ve been smoking pipes for 4 years and only discovered your channel about a week and a half ago. I’ve been gobbling up your videos since then and there are plenty of tobaccos that you have rated well. One needs to only check out your run of LJ Peretti reviews to find some exceptional ones. Maybe it’s because we live in a golden age with a cornucopia of food, drink, and entertainment, or maybe it’s because everyone gets a trophy, but average is the norm and both exceptional and terrible tobaccos should be rare or else the scale is broken.

Finishing up a bowl of easy times currently. I've been waiting for your review of this one because I figured you'd like it, but like you, I think it needs some Virginia. If you figure out a good mix it would be cool if you would share it. None of us have exactly the same preferences, but most of the time you don't like a new blend, i usually find out why when I try it. It really annoys me when that happens, but I guess our tastes are pretty similar. As a ford man, I have no idea why you downgraded lol. Have a great weekend.

I bought a tin of Merde de Cheval. Yes,just for the name.lol. Reviews had the typical couple of haters but most were positive. They liked it but probably wouldn’t buy it again. I haven’t tried it yet myself. I’ll probably let it sit for awhile. Everyones tastes are different. Why would people be upset if you don’t like something. Last time I was in my fav b and m, they were trying to sell me Maestro blends. Truth is I just don't like cigars. I don't like the flavors, and I just don't like the act of smoking them. I like the whole process of choosing pipe and blend, preparing, packing, lighting, the cadence, all that. That's the appeal. I don't get any of that from cigars. I also don't like the types of flavors I've gotten from them. So I don't buy blends with cigar leaf. I haven't tried any in a while, though, so maybe I should try a cigar leaf blend again. Tastes change. I mean, some of the small batch blends are great. The carolina red flake is a real winner and so is the Sansepolcro and the Palmetto Balkan (I still have lots from 2022). But they can't all be winners haha. I drive a 2010 Ford Escape Limited with 240,000 miles. It just won't die. It still drives like a champ. Things fail on it, sure. Nothing serious in a while, thankfully. I actually have to replace the hvac door actuator right now, but that's a 40 dollar fix. But I probably spend 1,500 a year fixing little things every year, which is WAY less than a car payment.
