I love the new Size osocozy flat..I have and use all them..The nicki are soft but they also werid shaped.

I agree. The Nicki's don't hold their shape as well as the GMD for sure.

Great review! I'm saving up to dive into flats. After a few years of cloth I've decided to take the plunge into flats.I do have a geffen jersey flat but it's not my favorite. I don't like my FSTs. I mainly use FSTs as unpaper towels. I'm thinking about trying GMD Muslin and stretchy flats. Have you ever tried stretchy flats? The stretchyness sounds super appealing to me! I love stretchy fabrics lol

I haven't, but I would like to! I just haven't come across a brand that's super affordable for stretchy flats. I find it hard to spend more than a few dollars on flats. FSTs were fine when my son was younger and wet less, but they are pretty much useless now. He's 20 months old now and the last month or two he's been a moderate-heavy wetter at times. I hope they're good for our newest addition this spring. :) Thanks for watching.

You can definitely use them on a newborn. I loved using the GMD birdseye on my second son origami folded.

Loved your video, so I'm asking for advice. I am trying to figure out how I want to do flats. I'm not sure if I want to go with FSTs or invest in the GMD muslin or cotton to later stick nice hemp and bamboo inserts in them when baby needs more absorbency. I want to save money where I can, but I could also justify buying the nice flats. I just want a set of flats and inserts that could last me from birth to potty training instead of having a completely new system for every three months of baby's life. Thanks!

FSTs are affordable and if you have a lighter wetter baby, they might just work for you. I know there are plenty of moms who make them work. However, our toddler can pee right through them these days. GMD muslin are awesome but I'd imagine they're pretty bulky on a newborn (I have yet to try one out on our new baby Eren). I don't think I've ever changed my son while he was wearing a one size GMD muslin flat and it was soaked straight through. They hold a lot of liquid! When I change his GMD birdseye one size diapers, they tend to be totally saturated. I hope this helps.

Do any companies make a prefold that will still snappi around a big toddler like the waist part so i guess that would b the width ? I wanted to get the GMD toddler green edge but after reading reviews ppl. Say that they are not wide enough but are to long? Idk I bought buttons size 3 thinking they would fit like that but they don't I have to pad fold is that the only way it can be done once the baby gets to be around 30lbs.? Thanks

I personally don't own any GMD green edge and am not a big fan of prefolds, so you I don't know specifically which are best for big kids.

I would try making a couple of fabric tabs to sew onto the corners of the prefolds. Then you can pin them around the baby's waist. If it works, you can up-size your latest size of prefolds.

How are the geffen fladdles on your son now? Do they still work for him overnight? And the gmd one size muslin flats?

I have to add extra absorbency with the fladdle these days, like a Thirsties large hemp insert. We can origami fold the muslin with a pad folded Nicki's or Imagine bamboo flat inside and that works for him overnight now.
