I was selling clothing on Ebay last year and I had the hardest time trying to take good pictures that drew the attention of people, this was super super helpful man. People think it's so simple, but a good amount goes into it man. Amazing work as always my man

@@SlackerStuff haha I appreciate it man, How much is the backdrop that you got btw? I have a cloth one, but it kinda sucks because you can see the texture clearly. I feel like a more solid background like yours would work better.

@@RyanNgFilms The backdrops vary in price depending on your color and Size. I ended up getting the 4.5 foot backdrop for about 40 bucks (per color) and the wall mount system was 70 bucks. I definitely wish I had purchased the wider rolls but I also am unfortunately beholden to the size of my studio. Search "savage seamless background" paper on amazon and you'll see a bunch of options.

This video is helpful. Do you have a video that talks about the business side of clothing photography like how much to charge per piece of clothing; Usage rights and fees to charge the client. How long do you usually spend editing each clothing item? I’ve been asked to photograph someone’s clothing line that is why I’m asking these questions as this is not something I specialize in. Thanks!

Thanks Chuck! I actually am a novice myself. I just started doing this project for a friend and don't really know the economics of the business. I'd say charge whatever your hourly rate is for each piece of clothing. It usually averages out to take less than an hour but that's just what I went off of. To be clear though I am not an expert when it comes to this so please consider what other folks are saying as well. Thanks for watching!

I’m having trouble getting a nice crisp white background like yours. I am spending way too much time removing backgrounds and making them white. Are your two lights giving you the even white background? Do you need to adjust brightness later to get bright white? Or just the dropper? I don’t shoot in raw. Maybe that’s an issue too?

Thanks Ibrahim! Honestly just force of habit. I think I got introduced to Bridge way back in high school with my first photography class. Would you recommend using lightroom instead?

@@SlackerStuff I use Lightroom so I can organise better when I have a lot of photos to edit. When I'm done editing color I export them and send them to photoshop to do stuff like removing background like you did.

I feel ya. I think the other thing is I don't really edit photos too much (as you can tell in the video where I use auto settings, lol) so I haven't had much of a reason to use lightroom!

sure thing. I believe you're referring to the shape tool? It should be "u" on your keyboard and then you can click to create a specific size or you can drag it to your liking. Hope that helps.
