FLATED Air-Topper - Part 1: Installing on my Raptor

I’ve done a lot of research on these. A lot of people don’t know this technology has been around for a while and is very tough. Solid choice if a hard shell isn’t an option.

I was thinking about getting one of these for my Heep, since it's convenient to remove/install. I would want to add some type of rack shelf in the bed for my use case. It would be interesting to see how much dust intrusion there is.

The topper seals to the bed nicely so I don't think there's going to be much dust getting in. A shelf is a great idea! Probably something you could DIY.

All great, but how do you lock it for the personal security wise?

This topper doesn’t lock, if you need that functionality, none of the temporary toppers (flated, Softtopper, bestep) will work for you. You’ll need a hard cap or some sort of storage system like deked to lock up things. That said most trifold, rolling, or soft tonneaus don’t lock either. I can get into most covers with a bent hanger

$1500 hard pass i would rather get something more permanent and store it in the back yard then get a blow up topper 😂

We can use this same topper across multiple trucks in our family where as the other ones are truck specific so worth it in our case.

@martys4814. Your comments on every video I post are always about the project costing too much and typically pretty negative. I’m truly sorry your personal situation cannot afford you truck modifications and frankly a better outlook on life or towards other people. Compared to a hard shell it’s a pretty good deal. About %50 cheaper and %90 lighter!
