Man I wish I could hop the pond and catch a flattie on my bucket list for sure estuaries in upper nz have basically only got ludric and salmon or as we call em parore and kahawai

25 flathead in a day is awesome. I live and fish around Yeppoon in Central Qld and in the last 20 years I’ve caught only 3 flathead. All doing pretty much what you’re doing there.

Just went flatty fishing today actually and did alright on the plastics but was surprised because I've never trolled for them and ended up with 3 in their 50- 60s in about 20mins.

Do you have any tips on choosing a colour of soft plastic for flathead?The water I fish in is clear blue water and is about 3 metres.I was looking at the baby bass colour and wakasagi from the baitjunkie 3.2 inch minnow, would that be good?

Yeah I would pick natural colours in clear water mate! Match the bait that swimming around 👌👌
