Terry Adams has been at the top of the flatland game for a long time. Let's learn about the bike he's currently riding.
Terry rides for Profile Racing, Deco, and has recently started his own frame company called Majide with his good friend Mickey. Outside of bike sponsors, he has been with Raising Cane's for 17 years and Red Bull for 21.
It's always awesome to get a chance to talk to him and this time it was fun to focus in on his bike setup as well as some of what can make flatland specific bikes different than other types of BMX.

Big respect to terry and Brock. I grew up in Biloxi Ms and used to ride in New Orleans, Hammond, Baton Rouge etc between street, various parks, and trails. Sherwood had some good trails. I knew of those guys then (I’m 41) and it’s awesome to see how far they have come. My home city also became Covington LA for many years so gotta rep my Louisiana boys, though I now live in Nashville so I support Nathan Williams as well lol. Much respect to all these talented riders still doing the damn thing

I'm curious what length cranks he's running. To answer your question about what's specific to flatland bikes these days: toptube length is typically about an inch shorter than what fits you for street/park.

can you get into the tires? I was SUPER surprised when he said most people are running at 1.95. Especially with all the spinning tricks. I thought the narrow 1.75 tires were better for spinning tricks? Extremely curious about this now.

1.95" is the happy medium! Wide enough for extra balance, narrow enough for the majority of spinning tricks.

Yea idk I’ve rode 1.5 back in the day and now still rocking 1.75s and there dialed for me. Can’t get into the bigger ones tried 1.85 and 1.95 and there is just to much rolling resistance when spinning or turbining for me. Depends on the tire pressure you use for flatland and certain tricks and also how much you turbine or spin. My preferred is those heresy tires at 1.75.

Yes a lot of pro's are now running 1.95, in the last 10 years brands started to make wider flatland tires, starting with Ares, a now you have Heresy, Eclat and S&M. The wider tire is going to have a little more rolling resistance but it will also give you more stability.
