@House Mouse Main your first mistake is thinking roles = their title in overwatch, there are plenty supports and tanks that can outdps a large portion of dps characters. Junkerqueen falls flat here cause her toolset is designed around bleed and anti-heal but beyond that she achieves nothing. average dmg, no tankiness or ability to control the enemy positions. What else is there left to do if you cant really influence the flow of the game? The answer is do damage. She's a 6v6 meta tank and even then I dont think I'd pick her over something like a peel/flank roadhog tbh.

@House Mouse Main you sounds like someone completely new to OW lol Assigned role doesn't mean that's how you have to play the game. - Roadhog creates space by being THE damage dealer and fragger with hooks and bursts - Mei has relatively low dps but gets kills through crowd controls and controlling space. - Moira has very little utility as a Support but can deal consistent dps through orbs and unblockable beam of an ult. Junker Queen on release had a very similar role with Hog, being THE damage dealer and fragger of the frontline. But that role is all gone since she got the massive nerf, she's now an off-tank brawler at best.

@House Mouse Main It's funny that you mention Kiriko, bastion, and sombra because those three are useful in many situations and are not special use case. Kiriko is widely regarded already to be one of the best supports in the game rn, and is most definitely not a "very short time" hero. Bastion has extremely consistent dps, with his downfall really being his lack of mobility. Sombra is also extremely good as a dps cause her hack and her emp is some of the best counters to a lot of tanks due to the ability disruption and her tp makes her have great survivability. Genji is good if you know how to play him well due to his great backline dives. Torb is a pretty good close range and long range chip + his turret. Echo is the only one i would say you need high game knowledge cause her ult gains value from you being able to use most other heroes but even then her util itself is very good. Roadhog is a great damage dealer and has insane survivability with self heal, and his hook shoot melee combo for oneshots Mei like skeet says has great crowd control and space control Moira is also not a special use case hero because she has very good heals, just most people don't use it as much. Heros who actually ARE more affected by the situation are Widowmaker and Tracer. Widowmaker being not as effective in close range fights and tracer being useless in long range fights. Even then, you can still find some value using them. And I say more affected because ALL heroes are situational, that's why you are able to switch heroes midgame. I play widow on circuit royale for early picks than i switch to cassidy cause he's easier to find consistent value with after those initial picks. Why? because at the start of the game you start with a long sightline that widow dominates on. you should never need "permission" from your teammates for wanting to play the game how you want. This isn't pro play, this is ladder. There are no stakes other than rank.

And even if it was true, if that was the case, overarching is a bad game then if you get banned for playing the game with a character you want to, even though they offer it as an option. Doomfists charge punch can also cancel ultimates like Moira's and Reapers, so that's some very very slight extra utility. Which is kinda helpful since moira's are pretty common

It genuinely breaks my heart to see Orisa so low. The entire point of Tank is to survive so you can maintain point, while keeping others off point, and in that she does phenomenally. It doesn't make her selfish because she isn't sharing her shield. She can tank damage and keep people at a range very well. Yes, her Ult BLOWS, but the rest of her kit is literally peak Tank.

Big thing I didn't hear you mention about Junkerqueen's kit is you don't need to pull the knife back immediately. If you leave it in the target it will continue to do bleed damage and you will regenerate while that happens. It's a great way to help her last in fights or finish off fleeing targets while you reload.

The bleed from her axe also heals her. That alone gives her at least half a star's worth more in both tankiness and damage, as it does 90 on-hit and 40 over 3 seconds. Still easy to heal over, but a follow-up headshot or two will pick off most heroes anyways.

@@TheUltimoSniper If you get the follow-up headshot for the kill after the axe, the healing stops. I’ve been playing her in TDM to get the arcade challenge and practice her kit, and there I can actually do a ton of self-heal because the enemy team always has at least 2 tanks. In role queue though, it seems a lot harder to get the self heals, because your wound target is either very squishy and dies before you get the full bleed duration, or you got too greedy for that juicy 3-man axe swing and die for it. In my (limited) experience, the bleed healing is really only noticeable on a big Rampage. I think the nerf to commanding shout’s cooldown probably made the bleed heals less effective too, since the overhealth can serve to buy time for the healing to work.

Just so you know, leaving the knife in doesn't cause any more bleed than if you immediately rip it out, I tested this yesterday.

Another thing about her knife pull is that you can perform it while you're in other animations. For example if you toss the knife at someone and it hits, you can then hit her scythe and THEN pull back the knife and the knife pull will drag them into the scythe swing. On a 200HP target this can almost one shot and there isn't really anything they can do about it

It's nice to hear about the Reinhardt earth shatter nerf. I didn't know about this and was playing Reinhardt today and completely missed a pin because the Reaper got up early. I literally said to my team the Shatter must have gotten shortened, because I knew I should have had just another moment longer to be able to connect the pin. But he got away clean and then wiped my team.

Honestly DVA is still one of the best tanks IMO. I genuinely love her. About 70% of damage usually comes from projectiles. Being bale to block that is really really nice. Plus she is fast and can escape because of her booster packs. Love her tbh

I think an important detail about zarya (that ive noticed as a support player) is not knowing for sure when she has a personal bubble available. if she used personal in OW1, it was a reliable callout. Now it takes a lot more effort to be sure of the cooldown status

Since starting overwatch 2, there have been so many tanks like Rein, Orisa, doom, and sigma that I just couldn't grasp, forcing me to stick to the tanks that I already knew and understood. this might not be incredibly helpful for lower tiers, these kinds of things usually dont work for both ends. last i played ow during season 10 ish i was at 2999 rating. (idk where im now but i dont see a skill/mechanical drop compared to back then) and ive seen many queens and orisas just destroy the enemy team. i honestly thought they were op because of how many games they dominated.

I think the real value is watching someone really walk through characters and you get to witness his thoughts. It's like an in-depth tutorial almost. Though a lot of it is personal conjecture, I think even listening to someone's mindset like that can help us reflect and grow as players. It can help guide us towards what to pay attention to and the potential drawbacks of certain playstyles

One thing I noticed with orisa is that you can cancel your javelin spin instantly with a javelin throw, and if you are already pushing an enemy forward with the spin, the javelin always hits and seems to carry them backwards even further than normal, making the wall pin combo easier to land

I don't even know why but for the first day Junkerqueen felt so dominant in all the games. When you spell out her abilities like in the video she seems lackluster, but whenever I played against her she just seemed unkillable and did much damage, the same goes with Roadhog. Nearly every game was against a JQ or a Roadhog and everytime both supports just stuck to them and we couldn't kill them if they didn't fuck up or the whole team was focusing on them.

Gotta remember that all her DoT bleeds give her healing back. Everytime she hits you with her knife [direct, or it passing through you as it returns, her axe attack, her melee, her ult], she's healing. When she jumps into your team and is bleeding everyone, even if her damage is lackluster, the lack of focus can easily let her sustain herself.

Junker Queen feels so nice to play as well. There is something special about throwing your knife at the enemy support, pulling them in the air to put them down point blank, finishing them with the axe in case they survive the shot to then finally unleash your warcry to boost yourself and your enemies as your assault commences. kinda smooth i dont know. :D

One tip for Orisa's ult is to either combo it with other ults such as death blossom. If there aren't any ults available to combo it with DON'T panic press the use button, if you keep charging her ult all the way to the end people often don't expect it and walk into the radius while you're still charging the ult. It's also a great way to create some space.

I think Orisa's E gives more movement than you give her credit for. While it does only speed you up when moving forward you can, hear me out, turn towards where you need to go. Many times able to just barely get behind some cover with the little extra speed boost to get away from a DVA ult or more often then not realize you have over-extended and dip out. Also gives her a great way to engage her ultimate, which I think is way more useful than you give it credit for. Surely, better than Doomfists at least.

After trying really hard to figure out how to use Orisa’s ult to actually get kills, I’ve decided that it’s best used as a really long-cooldown Halt or as minor area denial + second Fortify to buy time for getting other cooldowns back. It is nice to still have an option to pull enemies down from high ground or into a dragonstrike or something.

Overall Rankings: Queen 2.5, Doom 2.25, Rein 3.3, Zarya, 3.25, Orisa 2.5, Sigma 3.75, Ball 3.2, Winston 3.75, Dva 4.5, Hog 3 I'd say Doom should gain shields after Power Block ends (not finishes) as with how The Best Defense works, he needs to be able to deal ability damage to sustain himself and that can be hard when his own ability damage is reliant him taking damage directly, leaving him vulnerable the entire time he tries to deal damage. As for Zarya, I really think the bubbles needed to be handled a different way, at the least having the charges be separate cds.

Would love to see a faster axe swing on Carnage, a 12-second CD on JQ's Shout, and a bit more damage. Ideally, though, I'd also like to see her bleeds double as a necrotic (healing-blocking/absorbing, up to an amount equal to remaining damage to be dealt), and for that to replace the hard anti-heal on Rampage, with Rampage's charge cost being decreased.

Good video, I'd suggest going less from a script in the future though. You can tell that your reading down a list, and it's different from your normal chill and authentic flow. We all enjoy hearing your rables, that why we watch you review dice sandwiches and houses on the Market. I'd say just use a few jey prompts to stay on track but getting your authentic and logical reasoning is what I have always enjoyed. Keep it up.

Not contesting the four stars for Sigma’s fun, but I will say my love of playing Sigma literally carried me through some of the shittiest ow1 times and always brought me back, even after swearing the game off for good. Sigma has such a thematic kit, powerful voice lines, cool lore. The details they put into his audio design is next level.

Bro, if you want a Rein how-to guide, just watch Flats play. He's literally insane at the hero. He talks all the time about learning to look for cues from enemy players, where the best places to position are, when is a good time to be aggressive, etc. His channel is full of him watching other players and pointing out their mistakes as well. Rate my Rein, Spectating Bronze, and the old "Rein God watches Gold Rein player on Gibraltar" will have a ton of advice.

Yes and no, if they change it then your only cleansing like ana nade and Cass nade. If they want to change it to specifically not counter all the stuns then imo it shouldn't cleanse stuns or from ultimates like shatter or orisa ult that pulls you in. Yes you can make it that they are shortly invulnerable but then dont make it so they stand up.

She has great healing, cleanses, tons of mobility, a broken team ultimate for support and insane crit damage on her kunai headshots that's not much different to aim than a Zenyatta ball. No shit people are going to keep talking about what she brings, she's the best support carry OW has ever had and is going to be all over the scene at all levels. Some love for the queen would be nice, she just doesn't have a enough. She's still playable for someone that really knows her, but she's flat out weakest in all measures. I have been testing her and tweaking her in custom to see what she would need, here's my thoughts. Her shotgun is quite healthy, infact as far as damage output goes, she's decent. 2.4-8 per pellet. However, as far as min-max range goes, her kit doesn't not allow her to be effective unless utilizing corners and letting the fight come to her. Which is the intention behind her knife toss, because she severely struggles at 20+ meter fights, she can't be an effective tank for her teammates, nor is she able to if it's anything but close quarters. She could have a reduced fire rate for the exchange of higher damage at max range, 2.4 > 3.2 making it 10 pellets = 32 damage. Otherwise, every shot she takes at max range is just support ult charge with no realistic chance of killing anything with a support nearby. As for her Jagged blade, I think it's great and balanced. Tossing your knife deals 80 + bleed, then shooting the airborn target is usually 60~ ish, which combined with a quick melee usually does the trick. It takes practice but can kill low health targets effectively. And, if it still wasn't enough a final charged melee will do the trick. Conclusion, Jagged blade is in a good spot. Commanding shout needs a revamp or an addition, it's essentially her whole gameplay. She can play 1/4 of the match, it's up for 5 seconds and on cooldown for 15 seconds. My suggestion, is add an additional mechanic during commanding shouts downtime. For the 5 seconds let her duplicate/store up bleed healing which takes in effect after the bonus health runs out as over time healing, and is evenly distributed to her and nearby teammates. This will incentivize her to brawl more and utilize her whole kit, rather than her shotgun. Carnage should be a 2 in 1 ability, with the option to click it once for the fully charged normal ability. And, option 2 double tap the ability to half cast time (0.5sec instead of 1sec) and make it two weaker sweeps, this is intended to allow her to crowd brawl better, and apply more wounds. Rampage is an interesting yet appealing ability. I think it's actually strong as is. But, if I could tweak it, I actually would like to see her charge time be significantly reduced to the point of her being able to cast it 3 times as much, and nerf the ability as a whole as well, the intention being to just create more fluid gameplay for her. If she is gonna be a corner hugging tank then this would make it feel more at home. It goes without saying, I am not suggesting all these changes at once, but rather how I feel about her kit and what I would like to see for each part of it.

I think tank is much more fun now that the “ main tank experience” of being permanently stunned and melted is more or less gone, its nice to be able to actually play the game like it was intended, not choosing between an fps and a 3d first person chess match. Winston is so much stronger and more user friendly now. I think his new one shot combo has a lot of potential and his ultimate is just as fun as ever. Great video flats, as a somewhat high level player, i still watched the entire thing because it was entertaining. Ive always enjoyed your content but this video is an absolute masterpiece. A note to Orisa. The ultimate can be amazing, If you have good teammates. I was playing Orisa, had a pocket Ana cause he on call with me. Got Nano boost, raced into the whole enemy team, ulted to 300% roughly, got three on the slam, and finished the other two shortly after. It's not a great ult by itself, but a good one to combo for max damage.
