Probably because the new patch raises dependency on team mates making for more coin flip games for tanks / supports mostly . I’m not against more team work in a team oriented game but the fact is majority of players play solo, with no mics and limited care for synergy/team work so it’s nice to have a mix of solo carry potential in ‘all’ roles

RE: the title, honestly, I don't know if I'm just getting too old for competitive online stuff, but the attitude / salty nature of OW players legitimately puts me off playing most of the time. It's just hard aggro, and i'm in dumpster MMR at diamond sorta tier. People don't seem to want to actually just play the game and improve, it's just salt on salt. Eventually it just gets boring or uninteresting to want to play, and I don't know how Blizz can *really* address that without neutering the social part of the game that also makes those rare good games so much fun. Seems like playing in a big stack is the only way to get that experience though.

Even in qp, imagine all your friends stopped playing the game a while ago, so when you wanna make call outs to help win you gotta hear/read all the bs. Not just the other team your own teammates.

Had a Tracer tell me to never play Brig again last night after a QP game, I had to payload princess while my mate was doing Lucio things, I ended up healing ball all the time as well as everyone else but couldn't make many plays or else we'd constantly C9 for 66% of the match.......I ended that game with 6k heals whilst not being able to play Brig properly. After that game i called it a night, that was the last bit of toxicity I could take after having it like every game

@@AcrylicKyng Which is why I have chat off. I am very much so a noob in OW2 but coming from league of legends the toxicity is just as bad there. So while trying to learn the game just simply turned it off and had a happier experience. When I find people I vibe with maybe I'll turn on chat and deal with it more but not now lol. But unfortunately that's every popular online competitive game. Something about pvp makes for either really great experiences or the direct opposite experience. the amount of people I have blocked on league is prob hundreds by now and I expect to have the same amount eventually on OW as I progress further with the game.

I've had several games where I did well and it doesn't matter what role I am on whether dps or support, occasionally I trigger someone so much they seem to instantly focus on me every team fight moving forward or in general if they see me to the point they have tunnel vision.
