As a tank player, I sometimes have better k/d than enemy tank and my teammates still say tank diff after losing. Its usually the teammates with the most deaths which are most vocal too. Many people playing this game are biased to always blame teammates for failures and not look at the stats.

@@mng8680 stats really dont tell the whole story, ive found they mean even less this season than last seasons. Lots of wins where the stats say we should have lost but we won.

@@itsOZone But stats do tell a part of it in an objective manner, more reliable than how any individual player feels how the game went based on what they personally witnessed. Much more often than not, the team which won had better k/d and damage based on my experience with hundreds of games. Besides k/d, objective contest time is the next biggest factor. If a team manage to contest objective a long time despite being temporarily outnumbered cause of worse k/d, then it might buy them enough time to take objective the next time they win the fight.

Even stranger is looking at the scoreboard, blue has positive KDA where Red only had 2 KDAs positive and the rest negative. This is further proof how the scoreboard doesn't tell the whole story, and people have to stop calling it out. IMO it should have a "reset" for the overall scoreboard every round. It should be pertinent information for that round only, because taking previous rounds into account matter not for the current round. You should be able to view that information, but it should be on another "page" or after the final round of the game. Tabbing should show the current round and its current info. Then we should fix what it shows, but I don't know if they'll ever do that.

Won a game in overtime last night. We got absolutely steamrolled on defense, stumbled our way to the end on offense, got decently far with our one minute timer and then held off the other team for 5 minutes on their attempt and somehow won. Got nothing for it. Every game is 20 percent for me.

Literally this shit happens. I go on rollercoasters too and I swear OW is the only game that will kick you in the Wrecking Balls one day, while giving you a win streak higher than a Pharah rocket jump the next. Despite that, OW has those moments. Those small, golden, incredible moments that feel just incredible. Sometimes it's two Rein Chads showing mutual respect, other times it could be entire teams lining up in a conga line and all hopping off the map. Then rarely you become an literal god and wipe away all who stand before you. That's Overwatch magic and damn if it doesn't round out the sharpness of the bad days.

This is my experience of late. Last night I played sigma because the enemy was running double sniper, I got 26k damage in 14 minutes absolutely controlling the front line and by the end I faced all sigma counters while my DPS kept chain feeding. This morning I got an email that I am banned for a month presumably because I was getting reported for "throwing". There is literally 0 reason to play tank anymore, you get 0 help or gratitude and all the blame.

It sucks you cannot carry on tank anymore. I lost a game the other day as Zarya went 38-1 with 17k damage their tank went 18-11 with about 12k damage. But our tracer went 13-19 compared to their teams tracer who went 27-6. It's like playing out of your mind on tank gives your team the most opportunity to make game winning plays but if they don't there's nothing you can do to overcome that gap on your own.

The amount of times I play tank and have my entire teams stats combined with 1/4 the deaths as the enemy apologizes on behalf of blizzard and my team. It is actually crazy how little impact you have on winning as tank if you play incredible, but will always lose if you play bad. I just stopped playing for multiple seasons, back to Reddit Lucio I go. How am I hardstuck plat on my main, then make an alt and get to masters with an 80% winrate on 5 heroes literally trolling the enemy 0 effort, I got teammates who weren’t mouthbreathing mongoloids, it actually showed me that you can’t carry enough to rank up some seasons, or that there is a shadowban system in place, because I’m very toxic in my main, but not my alt, because i get actual human beings on my team, when I say I’d go 58-2 as my teammates go 7-17, 4-13 1-9 regularly, I felt shadowbanned, my friends tell me the account is cursed, I’m not the only one who’s noticed. Having GM players add me to ask “let’s duo GM what’s ur main?” Just for me to cry myself to sleep knowing I’m barely diamond on tank.. I can’t explain the feeling.. it’s enough to break a man Fuck tank.

I feel like tank diff doesn't matter the same way in OW2 as it did in OW1. In OW1 the team with better tank synergy usually won. In OW2 the better tank sets their team up for the most opportunity to play well enough to win but you can longer solo carry on tank the same way. A patch or so ago it was usually which team has the better support synergy that would dictate who won the match. Now with how important the DPS passive is it's 100% the DPS that dictate the wins of the match. It's why comps with low healing can function so well and it sucks too knowing that you can play out of your mind on tank and all that does is give your team the best chance to follow through but if you have a tracer that's like 4-11 you're not winning that match even if you go 38-1 on tank and that feels bad.
