I remember watching your videos when I was taking AP Stats. Saw this video on my subscription box. Nice to see you making this video! Take care man!

I love your videos! I've never seen you so serious and so scared... I've been trying to tell the exact same thing to all my loved one and my friends, and my acquaintances.... This is not a matter of "who gets the best and most upvoted facebook post"... It's a mathematical matter. And you can't argue or negotiate with math.

Hey man, I just wanted to say that it's a good thing that you're doing. My class actually assigned us to watch this video, and I thought you'd be happy to know that this video WILL have a positive effect on us. Keep up the good work, man. You're saving lives too.

So glad to see your face and the energy and compassion that you have. Thank you; I'm sharing with my AP Stats students. Any more videos coming out? (i.e. 2 sample t test and z test?) You're amazing.

Please read: Your vids are great and have really helped me deliver the message to everyone I know. I've been tracking the cases in IL & MI. Can you do a vid on calculating doubling time? I have dates, and the increasing number of cases. So how do I do a rough calc of what the double rate will be?
@MrNystrom4 жыл бұрын
Great question as it depends on a number of factors. I used the median of a list of doubling times from a list of different countries reporting data which ranges from 3 days to 14 days. Generally, once testing is streamlined and ready, just look at the number of cases today, and see how long it takes to double. That will remain somewhat constant without social distancing measures. Remember... there is about a week to two week lag on reports vs actual cases as it takes up to a week to show symptoms and 3 days to get results reported. Please remember also that it will take about two weeks to see how our actions today impact the numbers... so have faith in math and stay away from people. Call your loved ones and hug everyone in your home each day. We can do this together!!!
Great video, but one question: aren’t you technically saving almost 2 lives? Because in the space of 30 days, you not only infected the 32 people on day 30 but the 1+2+4+8+16 people along the way. There’s a cumulative infection that’s not being accounted for. Or am I misunderstanding this?

Those are totals in my example. Sorry that wasn't clear
