Thank you so much for this! Just did it to my Suzuki Bluesmaster in C. Made the plate flat then light sanded. Damn! Huge difference in playability. Pound for pound as you say... wow! 🎶🙏

I do this with all my harps, even if I don't fit a custom comb. I also like to smooth the front edge and round the corners a little bit so that they are smoother and more gentle on the corners of my mouth. This is indeed the most easiest thing to do to get more air tightness . Great tip and vid!

Late response, but it’s only for the draw plate, and I do it on every single one of my harps, with the exception of the customs harps I have that already had it done. It’s worth the time.

Just the draw plate. The blow plate's flat surface points to the inside of the top coverplate, so no need to sand that side of the blow plate.
