Big challenge: Do a DollarTree Haul! I see so many people buying their groceries from there, simply because that is what is available. To their credit, they are one of the very few companies that will open a store in so-called food deserts and not where the big money customers are. I go there too, and occasionally they have good things (that disappear fast). Thank you for showing what you can recommend at walmart. Trader Joes and Whole Foods are just not accessible to most non-urban people, and there is not a single CostCo in the state I live. Much respect for not turning your nose up at walmart, like a lot of other elite foodies do. It shows you care about all people and their health.
@celeste-2365 жыл бұрын
K B ...unfortunately the Dollar Tree near me has very little healthy stuff. I was wondering if you have any local farmers nearby or any neighbors who would split the cost of a whole cow with you.... also, if you have a food processor, there are some basics that you can make like mayo.... and bone broth is a great staple that can be made on the stove .

I live in a rural area and we only have Dollar General and Walmart. I drive out of town to aldi usually, but if I’m in a pinch or in the case of bad weather (which has happened too often this winter!) I am sometimes limited to only those stores. I would love to see a DG haul too!
@KB-gx5bs5 жыл бұрын
@@celeste-236 Thank you for your nice reply, but my comment was not so much a reflection of my own life situation. I can readily afford my local farmers markets and could buy a whole cow for my own stockpile. I even have a food processor ;-) But so many people around me truly struggle and could not even dream of buying big chunks of animals, much less have the luxury of freezer space to preserve it, and a food processor? No chance. The fanciest equipment they might have is a crockpot. When a large Dollar Tree opened here last year, it was a drastic improvement for many people of very limited means. Granted there is tons of junk offered, but there seemingly are some good things to be found, especially in the freezer section and in the canned good aisle. I am trying to help people in my community, but I am not a nutritionist. I would love for somebody like Bobby to take a tour around a Dollar Tree with a decent food department and give some helpful tips :-)

Thanks Bobby👍🏾 I really appreciate your videos and the knowledge on foods you give. I take a while when I grocery shop because I’m always looking at the ingredients of the foods first. The labels on the front of the product will try to fool you, but the ingredients won’t.

Pasta zero is so awesome!!! Thank you. I absolutely love it! My daughter is allergic to wheat and I am diabetic. Now I can have chicken noodle soup again, and I can have spaghetti again! I tried a different brand from Thrive Market and it was not quite as good. I made macaroni salad with it but it was too tangy.

I love this series but I just want to clarify that fatty acids don’t have DNA. And you can’t “change the DNA of the fatty acids”. You can change the structure of the fatty acids (saturating it to be solid at room temp etc.). I just want you to be wary of these incorrect scientific statements that might get proliferated by your viewers.

You, your wife and your crew are so cool. I just found you while searching for Meal Prep (Keto if possible) books on Hoopla and Libby, my library's two apps. Your book is great, and it's in my Amazon library now. :) I really enjoy watching your videos, because you have so many things going for you. First of all, Food Network dissed you? Whaaaa? What were they thinking?! Second, these recipes and tips are SO creative and informative. Like seriously! You and your wife seem very personable. I laugh when she is off camera teasing you, because I can imagine myself and my husband just the same way. Keep up the great work, and thank you and your team for doing what you are doing!

I LOVE this video. Thank you! I am so surprised to see 100%grass fed finished beef in your video. I haven't seen that but I haven't looked in a while. I will look for it next time. I always bought grass fed beef until I learned that it's not grass finished. They fatten the cows on corn and grains, etc before butchering. The health of the animal changes quickly in those 3 months. So then I started buying organic beef instead if I can't get it from a ranch who believes in grass finished beef but like I said I will look for it at walmart next time. I live 2 hours from trader Joe's and cost co. 😥 so thanks again for this video. My favorite is Kroger but walmart is 15 minutes closer and I end up there a lot so I am playing close attention to this great video.
