I honestly thought this performance was better than Diversity's final. I think that Flawless has better dancers, but Diversity's creativity and humor is what won Britain over.

This group were by far the best. Their precision and tightness was on top. I love the sub-routines within the main story. There is so much to watch within this group, you find yourself pausing and replaying to see what else was happening. My favorite dance group.

I don't really like talent shows, but BGT 2009 - both the final and semifinal were some of the best two hours of entertainment any talent show that I've seen (American or British) has been able to provide. Susan Boyle, Diversity, Flawless, Aidan Davis, Shaun Smith, Julian Smith - it didn't matter who won, and Simon Cowell's expressions here give it away: he knows that regardless of the outcome, he's got two-or-so hours of pure win on his hands. I remember watching it online from Canada and going "something's wrong, this isn't supposed to be this good" What all talent shows aspire to (or should) is to be great entertainment by themselves, not a freak show with some genuinely talented acts so the audience doesn't feel conned. BGT 2009 was one of the few times where that aspiration was not just met, but exceeded several times.

2009 final was unbelievable. It's a shame that no final has ever been anywhere near as good. That year was something else, and everyone watched it which brought a great community feel for the country. At school everyone was talking about it lol. The final was the second most watched non-sporting event of this millennium.

I'm watching bgt 2009 after 9 years and I feel like their first dance was the best. It is clear why Diversity won, it's because their dance kept on getting better. Flawless was flawless but Diversity was the clear underdog!

They were good, Diversity were on another level. Check out Diversity’s MJ tribute from Got to Dance - insanely good. Big difference between Flawless and Diversity was Ashley Banjo, his choreography and creativity took Diversity to a level Flawless could never get to.

At the end of the day, Flawless were, 'Flawless' and ultimately the better dances, but as SpiritMan said, the competition is an entertainment competition, and Diversity were the more entertaining group.

Diversity as a dance group if you want comparison isn't anything spectacular. From a dancer's perspective, they had good moments that stood out BUT that was it, they didn't really fill in transitions well and tbh they just got by the flips from the kids to wow the people like you. You give them too much praise and leave little or no room for criticism, Flawless wasn't perfect either, but when it came to providing a dance routine that actually flowed and felt complete, Flawless were superior.

there were awesome diversity was awesome at being creative and i really enjoyed there performances but flawless had more complex moves with different types of dance input towards it which was awesome

Flawless And Diversity Are Very Different, Yes They Are Both Street Dance Crews But There Are So Many Different Styles Within Street.... It's Not About Who Are The Better Dancers, It's About The Whole Performance-Choreography, Variety And Most Of All The Entertainment... Personally I Think Diversity Put On A Better Performance Which Is Why They Won I've Been To See Them Live On Tour And It Was The Most Amazing Thing I Have Ever Seen In My Life :)

@madiana10 flawless are clearly the better dancers i agree..... diversity will always be more popular and won votes cos they had kids in their group which will always win more votes. Both great groups and good to see them doing well but if i had money to put down and choose a show to see live i would pick flawless as i prefer their style

Agreed with what Spiritman said about this being an entertainment contest. Flawless were slicker, more polished and hands down the more professional of the two, but Diversity went quite over-the-top with their creativity and it worked. Also 2009's BGT was the best BGT by a mile, and featured some of the most talented contestants as a whole in any talent show I have seen so far. Forget Flawless or Diversity, even that Aidan kid would walk through today's BGT

no doubt flawless is great, the music vs choreography vs cohesion in this instance gave diversity the edge, plus it helped for diversity to perform after, the result is fair

Flawless are technically the best and have a lot of passion. They are creative but Diversity are a little more creative and also have a lot of passion. I dunno.... they both deserved to win.... I think it was VERY close! I loved them both and I'm glad they're BOTH in the film Street Dance.

@ToBeBounced if you watched both and compared, you'd notice that in Flawless's semi-final performance, the dancer at the end attempts to do a flip over the other dancers, but he doesn't land it. Diversity performs that same move in the final, with a child doing it, no less, and he lands it perfectly, not once, but twice. flawless is certainly good, but they make mistakes too, as does Diversity. Difference is, Diversity is creative and fun to watch, so the mistakes don't matter to the viewers.
