When I was a kid, I "fixed up" my Beatles red and blue greatest hits albums with 'Reinforced' packaging tape. The tape is still there.

Hey Joe - I love videos like this - browsing at flea markets etc. I have just got back into collecting vinyl in the last three months or so - although I consider myself a collector I'm pleased I'm not into paying a lot of money for shrink and hype stickers - just want an LP that looks good and sounds good. I'm not attacking or criticising you - it's just a relief that those aspects of collecting are way above my head. I have bought 3 still sealed in original shrink LPs recently (none of them were expensive) all under £10 from 1966, 1976 and 1981. I opened all 3 because I wanted to play them - all 3 records were nowhere near mint condition - one had a warp (it didn't affect play luckily) and all 3 had scuffs and marks on the vinyl itself. It just showed although sealed it doesn't mean the record is in Mint condition.

The record I bought here is open, not sealed (for some reason a few viewers thought it was sealed). Anyway, if I am collecting a record and intend to always keep it sealed and to never open it, then it doesn't matter what the record inside the sleeve is like.

Nice finds at flea market the Beatles magazine pictures suitable for framing was a good price & nice condition. I have one myself unfortunately I made the error of leaving the plastic bag it was in open & the adhesive touched the top of the magazine & it took a little of the ink/printing off back cover. Luckily the same picture & printing is on the front & back cover, other than that it’s in great condition. I believe most of the photos are from the With the Beatles sessions LP. The John& Yoko Toronto calendar sealed w/hype sticker nice too. Hype stickers especially the older ones on record albums are great, glad you got the better price, enjoy it.

A couple nice pickups again this time. Question though: wouldn't the "first published" notation mean it might not actually be from 1964? Still a cool find.

I have often wondered about that, as I've seen that wording before on editions that are definitely first run. My thinking is the words "first published..." are done with the expectation that reprints are inevitable.
