So cute! 🥰😍🥰 My backyard cardinal pair had three broods in 2023 it was amazing, I got to see so many of their fledglings at my feeders! 7 in total (3 fledglings, then 3 again, then 1) the reason I being this up is because I’m curious, how long do you think it takes for them to get their adult colour? Obviously all the fledglings left before they changed colour but I’m just wondering how long it takes. Thanks for sharing this cutie with us!

From what I can research, it takes 3-4 months after hatching to get their adult colors

@@BirdsWalkingDown oh ok, thanks for letting me know! So if I see any adult coloured cardinals around, I’ll be wondering if they’re the babies of my backyard cardinals 😄. I wonder how far they travel after fledging and leaving to live on their own? That one is probably harder to figure out I’m sure. Anyway thanks for the reply!
