I understand what I’m saying is as good as an opinion and can be scientifically scrutinised, but I found personally that after 2 years of incorporating compound lifts into my workouts, such as bench press, barbell rows, deadlifts and squats, I am able to resist form breakdown on runs much better than I use to in the past. I feel I’m also much better at running on inclines, and controlling my descent on declines, as I’ve increased the weight on the leg focused lifts
