I had the asics gel nimbus 25, lot of pain in my hip as soon as I was closing in on 8 km. Changed to brooks glycerin GTS, been a smooth ride ever since.

I have been using barefoot shoes for walking and best decision I have made, been wearing the Hykes Flex and love how they feel, once you get used to them you will never go back to regular shoes.

i had my rectus quad muscle put into my groin. this caused severe over-pronation and inner knee pain. i tried in the top podiatrist recommended shoes from hoka, new balance, on cloud, brooks and asics. Hands down, nothing felt as comfortable and supportive as the Asics Gel Nimbus. wow.

Hi there, I've developed Plantar Fasciitis, I've got a fairly high arch, and the pain occurs when heel hits the ground, not on push-off (apparently it matters as lower shoe drop goes with the former, and higher drop shoe for the latter) Any idea, what shoes I should go for? I need at least 4mm lugs (muddy trails here) and a wide toe-box. I'd be very grateful for any helpful suggestions, cheers!

the only time I was injured as an athlete was after gait analysis and buying the shoe they recommended. This is a load of tosh frankly.

Dude, facts. I got a pair of Brooks, and mind you I would run in Walmart George slippers. Never had a problem, been doing it for years, but wanted to step my game up for longer miles. Next thing I know my hips and knees are destroying me. I started going down the rabit hole, checking my form, my hips, and how my foot would land. The shoes would push my feet out, but that's what I needed? Okay.

Will this shoe help me for left foot supination and right foot overpronation?. I just got custom orthotics but it's more helpful for my right foot overproduction as they added a higher arch on the orthotics. They also adjusted the heel on the left foot to help bring the foot to a more neutral position. My current hoka is worn out so I need a new one. You seem very knowledgeable so I would appreciate a recommendation on a proper shoe. I live in hawaii and my access to professional advice from shoe experts like you is limited. Even podiatrists I've worked with differ in advice. Currently working with a podiatrist who uses cold laser treatments and definitely decreases pain by 60-70% but unsure for how long. I also have PTTD in both feet. Could you recommend a shoe please.

Happens when you run often or you’re older. Try to warm up for 15 to 30mins with slow pace before getting to your normal running pace.

400 lb man. What good running shoe(s) woild be best for me to consider. Not running. Just beed a comfortable bit safe shoe to walk in. Most recently have had two pairs of asics gel venture 8. Cheaper but i like the fit. Thinking more expensive maybe more comfort. But can't go to super soft for safety reasons. Dont want the sole to crush unpredictably and send me into a wall or something.

@@fleetfeet699 I looked at the website and found the Mishawaka Indiana store is only 50 minutes away. In Michigan the closest one to me is Ann Arbor West so that's two hours east of me. If these shoes I ordered from Amazon don't work I'm sending them back and heading to Mishawaka. Thanks

Flexible feet meaning hyper mobile, are not going to improve in a stability shoe. Wear them for comfort here and there maybe after strengthening but those with hyper mobile ankles should work on stability by wearing less “supportive” shoes where those Muscles just weaken in their restricted movement. Just some thing to keep in mind if you believe improvement is possible for you. However Some people are in the Mind state or condition where they believe they are going to roll ankles forever nothing will help. Likely for those people a fully locked in stability shoe is for you. Ain’t no body got time for a fractured 70yr old ankle! 😥

It's hard to recommend something without visiting your local Fleet Feet and going through our personalized Outfitting Process to find the best shoe for your needs. You can find a Fleet Feet near you at fleetfeet.com/locations. With that being said, we'd likely recommend something that has a low-stack, firm and responsive midsole for stability when jumping and landing.
