Lost my mom 9 days before my 51st birthday this month. All my other family is gone and it's just me left. Listening to this tune and all the others I had growing up that they also loved and listened to helps keep them alive inside. Reminds me of better times. Addendum: Thank all of you that have given your.......hugs? Warm feelings? SUPPORT! That's the word I was looking for. It helps restore some of my faith in humanity when someone that I haven't met yet lets me know I am not alone in this world. Thank you so much. Your warmth and kindness truly matters!

Fleetwood Mac - Dreams from 1977 with lyrics below LYRICS: Now here you go again You say you want your freedom Well, who am I to keep you down? It's only right that you should Play the way you feel it But listen carefully to the sound Of your loneliness Like a heartbeat drives you mad In the stillness of remembering What you had And what you lost... And what you had... And what you lost (Oooooh) Oh, thunder only happens when it's raining Players only love you when they're playing Say, women...they will come and they will go When the rain washes you clean, you'll know You'll know Now here I go again, I see, the crystal visions I keep my visions to myself It's only me Who wants to wrap around your dreams and Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? Dreams of loneliness... Like a heartbeat drives you mad... In the stillness of remembering What you had And what you lost... What you had... Ooh, what you lost Thunder only happens when it's raining Players only love you when they're playing Women, they will come and they will go When the rain washes you clean, you'll know Oh, thunder only happens when it's raining Players only love you when they're playing Say women, they will come and they will go When the rain washes you clean, you'll know You'll know You will know Oh, oh, oh you'll know

Something that makes me feel closer to this album, and this band, is the fact that one day I'll be back to this very video, remembering my father. this is his absolute favorite song. He's still alive and i love him so much, but i dont treat him as good as a should. I'm going to change that. Because one day i know the time will come when he's gone, and I'll be right here under this comment crying, listening, and remembering the times we spent together listening to this beautiful music. I love you Dad I'll make you proud one day i promise.

I feel bad that an entire generation has not had the pleasure of listening to a good vinyl.. there isn't anything that compares to that sound.
@ogdreadfulofficial77474 жыл бұрын
Most people would argue that listening to vinyl rips through youtube videos would still be considered as "listening to digital", but that's completely ludicrous. Digital is..well a digital medium. Anything produced digitally would usually sound "digital." Vinyl is a physical / analog medium. It's a lot different. Recording on tape would sound a lot more natural when pressed to vinyl. The transfer to digital shouldn't count the vinyl rip as a digital sound. It's only odd if an album was done completely digital, like Donald Fagen's The Nightfly (though technically they used tape for the majority of the recording). Transfering a digital recording to vinyl and then rip it back to digital wouldn't serve any other purpose other than adding the vinyl characteristic to the track / album. Still speculating on the legitimacy of this vid tho. But then again manual declicking and pop removal is a thing.

The younger generations just don't UNDERSTAND the depth and warmth you get from a vinyl record until they actually hear one. I was so distraught when I found out my parents tossed all of their records and their technics record player "because it was old technology"... that was a sad sad day. Fleetwood Mac, Madonna, The Cars, The Rolling Stones, James Taylor, Van Morrison, Michael Jackson, Beetles, Moody Blues, Blue Oyster Cult, Van Halen, Queen... they had tons of records of music I still listen to to this day. I know I can rebuilt the collection but it'll never be the same. *shakes first at parents* Don't worry, I still love you.

When i was 14, in 1976, my Grandma took a trip to San Francisco. She came back w/ gifts for everyone: mine was a tape recorder w/ a tape she was told to buy for me. This album. My cousins had their mom, & she sent them 1 suitcase each full of stuff. My female cousin envied my one gift. I had a mother but she was a monster, which is why I was being raised (@ least for a little while) by our Grandma. She, oc, hadn't sent anything, not even a card. I didn't exist for her unless to use. But my cousins believed the lies and told, asking w/ everyone else. Regardless, this album was a reminder for me that @ least one human being in the world saw me, & knew me, well enough to know I'd enjoy this group. I did. And Dreams was a great track to listen to bc it really spoke to my life as it was then. ❤
