Her 1989 album, "The Other Side of the Mirror" is by far one of her darkest and an underrated masterpiece, written while mentally locked away in a drug-induced prison with the opinions of so many keeping the door sealed shut. None of her stuff since holds a candle to it in my opinion, though her "Trouble in Shangri-La" album was also excellent. He's gotta check for the video on here of her singing "Doing the Best that I Can" with her backup singers, just the three of them at a huge piano, completely stripped back. It's the only live version in existence online and her voice is phenomenal on it, yet she was so messed up from addictions that she doesn't even remember touring for that 1989 album. It's allegedly Stevie's favourite album as well. Hopefully we get a remaster on vinyl someday.

Fleetwood Mac's line-up from the mid-1970s was Stevie Nicks (vocal and percussion), Lindsey Buckingham (vocals and guitar), Christine Mc Vie (vocal and keyboards), John McVie (bass) and Mick Fleetwood (drums). Stevie, Lindsey and Christine all wrote songs for the band and generally sang their own compositions, e.g. Gypsy was penned by Stevie. She was always my favourite vocalist in the band, but the whole band contributed enormously to the sound of all of their songs, so that she was never better than when singing with them. Her great Fleetwood Mac songs include Rhiannon (esp. the live version), Landslide, Dreams, and Sara. You should listen to all of them.

This is one of my favorite music videos ever. It's like watching two or three old-style Hollywood movies in one music video. All five members of the band appear in the video. Since you seem to appreciate drumming, the band's drummer Mick Fleetwood--who puts the Fleetwood in Fleetwood Mac--is the bearded guy in the wide-brimmed hat in the black-and-white rain sequence. He's also in a couple of other shots, including the pink-lit shots in the woods. Speaking of those pink-lit shots in the woods (at the 4:53 mark), that's where three of the other four members of Fleetwood Mac (besides singer Stevie Nicks) appear together in this video. Bassist John McVie--who puts the Mac in Fleetwood Mac--appears in some of the earlier shots. I'm too tired to go back an pick out his appearances, but he's there in the sepia street scene and in the black and white scene in the club.

Anyways, one of my favorite songs from her is called Landslide and is an emotional journey in its own right if you pay close attention to what is being said. Stevie Nicks was their lead singer, Lindsey Buckingham was their lead guitarist and her ex, Mick Fleetwood was founder and drummer, John McVie was bassist, and Christine McVie was on keyboard and vocals and was John's ex (a complicated group!) They started in the late 60s (same as me! But I was born in 45, just got a late start 😏) Their album Rumors was #1 for 31 weeks! It's one of if not the best album of all time! Check out the fact that they had two female singers. the other is Christine McVie an English blues singer and keyboard player. The name of the band comes from Mick Fleetwood on drums and John McVie on bass--two of the original English Blues band. Peter Green who founded the band in England called it Fleetwood Mac because he 'knew' he would not remain for long but they would. Fleetwood and McVie invited Lindsey Buckingham (guitar) to join the band and Stevie Nicks came along as part of the package.

They have only sold millions of records and have won almost every award the music industry has, Mac Fleetwood, is the drummer and the owner of the group which has been transformed several times from its inception. She is Stevie Nicks. Fleetwood Mac's name comes from Mick Fleetwood (drums) and John McVie (bass guitar) the original members still in the band. The name was 'bestowed' on the band by principal founder member and leader guitarist Peter Green because he felt he would not stay with band indefinitely but they would. After various line ups they were joined by Christine McVie (keyboards and vocals) and then Lindsey Buckingham (lead guitar and vocals) and Stevie Nicks (vocals), his girlfriend at the time.

Stevie Nicks got inducted into the Rock & Roll hall of fame in 2019 for her solo work. She was inducted in 2017 as part of Fleetwood Mac. She's to this date the only woman to be inducted into the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame, Twice. She's had so many songs redone by younger artist who loved her. Including Beyonce using Edge of Seventeen.
