She was in the band first and Mck Fleetwood said he'd never have hired Buckingham Nicks if Christine wasn't comfortable with Stevie ( smart man) and by all accounts they get along very well. Actually, Christine McVee did write a lot, but she also sang some of their best songs. "Don't Stop (thinking about tomorrow)," Songbird ", "Hold Me" (I think this was mostly her and LB), "You Make Loving Fun" and as my new hero, Susan, reminded me, "Say You Love Me" And in my opinion, CM had a better quality voice; but Stevie's is one of a kind-- instantly recognizable and unmistakably hers. Lindsay Buckingham had the power voice and could fire lyrics at you like bullets. The combination was magic.

Check out "Late for the Sky" by Jackson Browne, if we're going into the late 70s rock.

An amazing tune. Maybe my favorite Jackson Browne song. Deep meaning and personal after his first wife’s death. Of course used in “Taxi Driver” in that memorable scene with Robert De Niro.

I drove from Dallas to Austin in the mid seventies to go to an outdoors event in my 72 Ford Pinto. It was hot really hot. People were dropping like flies. The guy in front of us lay down early from drinking too much but fortunately he left a big pile of joints. Fleetwood Mac came on shortly after the sun went down and people came alive again. Stevie sang Rhiannon, about a Welsh witch I think, and with the spotlight on her upper body she looked like she was floating in air. It was awesome. Now the drive back to Dallas that night is a whole other story.

This album/song takes me back to summertime 1976-1977. Rumors and the Fleetwood Mac album were played a lot by two of my older sisters and reminds me of playing in the yard and bike rides. Total summer music for me.

You have to do "Oh well" by Fleetwood Mac ..aka Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac . It's all so much better than the later stuff.

Sadly, Lindsey Buckingham has departed the band now. It's a shame he and Stevie couldn't work out their differences at least enough to perform together.

You really understood everything all of cultures in this continent goes through, and now I am watching all of your videos! Your opinions are so nice and your energy is so pure and cheerful, you're really helping me to not feel so down in lock down. I hope you are doing very very well, and I recommend to you the song "la camisa negra" by juanes, a very famous singer from Colombia!! Many hugs

Stevie Nick's is still the Bomb! Her voice is unlike any other performer. Your perception of her singing Rhiannon is spot on as per usual. In fact, the Rumors LP brings to mind a time when my wife and I were hanging around together. It's been over 43 years that we've been married and Rumors has become my life long reality... LIFE IS GOOD! Thank for you, 3 fold!
