One simple thing, Nicks craves attention while Christie was content in her own world. Not pulling Nicks or McVie just two very different people plus McVie was a part of the band making all around contributions for years even doing album artwork, writing songs and performing. Nicks while liking the attention isn't mean or hateful, she was always willing to share the spotlight. The real story is how this band was able to have two incredibly gifted ladies of rock and not implode. Credit to one is credit to the other I think.

But Lindsey left the band in 1987 in order to get off coke and to live what he called ‘a simpler life’ (Fleetwood Mac were known for living a life of excess). Whenever somebody covers this song they always butcher the “Oh IIIIIIIIIII...” part. They always hit it with full power like they trying to be Whitney Houston, but this song doesn’t call for that. The beautiful way Christine does it sounds so dreamy and ethereal to match this lovely floating, nostalgic sound. She’s impossible to imitate.

One thing I really like about FM is how they don't always use Nicks as the lead singer. It's nice to give other band members the lead in a song every once in a while, like in this song. Also, anyone else find it funny that Mick Fleetwood always has this goofy-intense facial expression while playing the drums?

Christine Mcvie has an angelic voice it's so smooth and with just the proper amount of vocal inflections from her native England. In my opinion her voice is flawless or to use another word "PERFECT" The name that she was born with Christine Perfect . she was actually in a early blues band in England called Chicken shack when she met and eventually married John Mcvie and she also had a personal romance with Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys. I got into Fleetwood Mac because of the success of Buckingham Nicks. But as i have aged i Bought all of the earlier Recordings and Christine Mcvie has created some amazing music throughout her career and it would be worthwhile to check out. Fleetwood Macs past catalog. Future Games. Bare Trees. Mystery to Me.

Nicks sounds English, and Buckingham is about as freakin English as you can get, so maybe that accounts for the "family harmony". They were all closer kin than they thought and knew.
