Exactly! I cannot even imagine staying in a band through a break-up(many break-ups, divorces, switching partners, etc), Yet, somehow they got through it. Then, in their dern late 60's or 70's, they can't make it work for the remaining years? Crazy!

How many guitarists does it take to replace Lindsey Buckingham ?
@anonymousinformant2247 Жыл бұрын
Mike Campbell can play circles around Buckingham. And, during their heyday, FM always had a second guitarist during songs. It was Ray Lindsey, the guitar tech...

Absolute Rubbish is the only way I can describe it, and that comes from a person who has seen Fleetwood Mac four times over the years, including the line-up with Billy Burnette and Rick Vito. Watch and listen to Rumours of Fleetwood Mac who are far superior!

You do understand that the only reason Stevie finally had the gall to issue her "him or me" ultimatum was because she has decided never to make another FM album of new music, right?
@alexkx85992 жыл бұрын
@@DamnRebel Oh, yes. I consider what she did as a coupe. What's crazier is that they could have recorded new music and just never released it. She has given endless resistance to any such things happening for many years. (Supposedly from what we understand.) As if to make a point to any of the Mac fans who question what is up with all of that if any figure it out. Few if any have ever asked what the deal is with an l.p. of new music because so many people aren't really fans. They just take interest for social reasons. 🤨 It's very disappointing and heartbreaking as while there are about 18 studio l.p.s there are only five with the "Rumours" line-up.

@rla10005 жыл бұрын
The Fonz, You can make that statement about most of your favorite rock bands. As fans, we are kidding ourselves if we think they tour out of a sense of altruism - they do it for the cash. Many of these people are multi-millionaires in the tens or even hundreds of millions, and Paul McCartney is a billionaire. A LOT of iconic bands from the 1970s are still touring, and most of the original people in those bands are also in their sixties and seventies. As original members left (or died), they reconstituted themselves with new members being plugged in. I doubt there is a single "band" that is intact as it was constituted when it came to fame. A very partial list of 2019 -2020 touring bands/rockers (may include a couple that concluded in 2018): ZZ Top, Foreigner, Journey, Ringo Starr, Eagles, Metallica, Elton John, Aerosmith, Rod Stewart, U2, Bob Segar, Billy Joel, Sting, Eric Clapton, Styx, “Dire Straits Legacy” (sans Mark Knophler), Mark Knophler (solo), James Taylor, Beach Boys, Santana, Steely Dan, The Who, John Mellencamp, Queen, Jefferson Starship, Steve Miller Band, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Lynyrd Skyrnyd, Rush, Blue Oyster Cult, Electric Light Orchestra, Boston, Moody blues, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, etc. etc. etc.
