Following the Landfill Meeting has there been an update on the position from the Wyre Councillors, There was a definite statement that the Chair and others were going respond to the meeting the following day. ?.

I'm not aware of any response so far. FTC were going to relay public concerns to WBC. It does seem as though everything will be down to any recommendations/ enforcement by the Environment Agency ultimately.

I think the EA will only take action if and when they have concrete proof especially if they decided to prosecute in the future

The meeting was very constructive and allowed people to share their concerns to FTC. Although FTC have no jurisdiction regarding the landfill they can certainly pass on residents concerns to WBC and LCC. EA have confirmed that odours and gases are seeping out of the landfill that was reopened.
