@@helenarichardLindsey and Stevie were initially a duo putting out records, while also being lovers. Fleetwood Mac wanted Lindsey to join their band, but didn’t want Stevie. Lindsey stood firm and said they were a package deal. Fast forward a few years and while their relationship was rocky, Stevie ran into the arms of the drummer, Mick Fleetwood, cheating on Lindsey with one of his best friends. And that caused the band to either crumble or pour all of that pain and hell into their work. Couple that with the dissolving of the relationship between Christine and John McVie in the band, the result was Rumours, which is one of the greatest, and most heartbreaking, albums ever made.

No one can beat that, the woman is a treasure, she is so iconic, stevie’s soul has lived lifetimes, and it seems she was handpicked by god to be here. @kellis664511 ай бұрын
@@davidcochran113 I totally agree. Both amazing, amazing performances but this feels more like Lindsay pulling the raw emotion out of Stevie and letting her use him as a punching bag. The Chain is all of the Cocaine hitting Lindsay at once, fueled by an arguement they just had before walking on stage and Stevie staring at him like, "what the fuck you doing on this day boy!?!" The time frame between the two performances probably plays a lot into it as well. This performance is like a hurt that will never heal, but the Chain is like an open, oozing, bleeding wound.

No give it to Stevie, let’s be real, men largely faced little consequences for cheating prior to women’s liberation because majority women had to tolerate shit treatment from men in order to survive. If a woman were to leave a cheating husband would only result in negative consequences for her. he cheated on her despite knowing what a shitty of a position that would put her in, but knowing if anyone would leave the band as a result it would be her. Ie if “she couldn’t handle it”, but out of talent and spite she stood by and wrote these fucking amazing songs so he would face consequences for his actions.

I started listening to Fleetwood Mac when they first came out. I've seen them 4 times in concert and it's good music for the soul.

Can you IMAGINE the feelings Stevie and Lindsey felt when staring at each other ??? Such an intense look on both of their faces it gives me chills

I agree. I can feel the tension of them both especially Stevie and how she uttered every words of the song.

...and 20 years after they broke up! Still that passion is there!

You realise, as theatrical as it is, they’ve all but admitted it was to sell albums?

I don’t see tension - it’s like they’re pouring their soul out to each other. An homage to what couldn’t work out 🥲

Their relationship must have had a lot of passion. To write songs like Go Your Own Way and Silver Springs. It’s the fans that benefited with those beautiful songs.

There will never be another Fleetwood Mac or another Stevie Nicks. I grew up listening to them. I remember being five years old, in the back of our '69 convertible Mustang with the top down, cruising through Old Town Auburn, California listening to Rumors on 8 Track! So to go to this concert as an adult brought tears to my eyes, and probably always will! 😌

And the lyrics too. She knew exactly what she was doing. “The sounds of my voice will haunt you.” He looks like he’s about to buckle from the intensity (and truth of it).

@@Jgjules yessss!!! Especially the "Never get away, never get away!" You could feel the power behind that one! 🤣

Holy shit, how tense was that last minute. Nothing like a dysfunctional relationship; makes for the best songs.

It does seem tense but keep in mind that they always look intensely at each other like that when they're harmonizing.

That "NEVER GET AWAY, NEVER GET AWAY" part at the end is chilling. And the fact that Lindsey has to sing that part too for the backing vocals makes it even more tense. He's literally having to sing that he'll never get away from her.. at the SAME TIME she's yelling it at him, whoa!!. What an epic move on Stevie's part. Great rendition of an amazing song!!
