I rate the 1992 Shammy Shine 200 for the Dirt / Asphalt Modifieds as a tie for the 2nd best race ever in the history of the track. Tied with the Toby Tobias and Earl Halaquist dead heat for a URC fair race feature event in the mid 1960's. I rate the 1978 Flem 200 on Memorial day between Billy Osmun in the Ferraiuolo Grant King #73 and Brightbill in his homebuilt #19 as the greatest race ever there. They went at it for the lead for approx 150 laps side by side back and forth for the lead with Osmun winning it.

When Kuhl paved Flemington after the 1990 season, Jenny Nicol should have clayed Wall Stadium. Flem prob would have closed by 1993. Wall could have gone in with EWS and B'port and revived the NJ State Championship. EWS Fri, Wall Sat and B'port Sun. That really would have thrown a monkey wrench into New Jersey short track racing. Then for 1998 when Grosso took over and converted New Egypt, NES could have remained as a mid week dirt track and joined up for a 4 night a week series. When EWS closed, NES could of switched to Friday, and you just might have still had a 3 night a week circuit today. I can dream can't I???
