I would like to be the first to argue with myself, and while I feel like my other comment was mostly accurate your mood immediately perked up after it and for the rest of the show

Oh shoot good instinct on Thislebloom/life though. You likely cant play the thistlebloom half on your opponent's turn (unless spell bound creepers or possibly new things) i wonder if you can block with the card, and maybe do a hold priority play Life

I think they saw the poor reception of bright lights as a reason to make the mastery sets. Bright lights feels to me like the precursor to mastery sets and I think it's cool they've added that in so most players don't have a set they aren't interested in but the mastery pack class gets some support.

Sorry no watch time on this channel, but I’ll throw the like and comment engagement😅

It would be cool if they put a new guardian hero in the mastery packs

The Pulsing Aether/Life in Verdance is actually a LOT better than a 2 for 5 because once you have 8 or more earth cards, you deal 4 arcane from pulse, gain one life AND deal another arcane. So its a 2 cost 6 points of value. Doesnt seem like a big difference, but it changes up the math quite a bit when you consider Sink Below being one of the best card in the game for being an DReact at 4 instead of 3. A lot of cards in this set have increadible amout of value : Earth Form Red (3 for 7 on hit make an embodiment of earth token) INSANE VALUE. Yes its a 3 for 7, but it will help you block up to 4 more points of value. So Earth Form hitting for 1 still gives you an additionnal +4 value if your hand is all NAA. Thats the ceilling, the floor is a 3 for 7 lol

I do understand the point about sets only supporting classes being awkward compared to a game like Magic but I actually don't think that's a bad thing. Just as an example when I played Magic I had virtually 0 interest in playing Red and little interest in Green and White. So every set I bought 3/5 of the cards were trade or trash to me. In FaB's case you can literally avoid wasting money on entire sets for stuff you just aren't interested in. That may make some releases less interesting but my bank account will appreciate that.

Wether it's good or not for you depends on what you want to get from the game and how much/often you prefer to engage with a tcg. Time will tell how good it is for LSS as a whole

I subscribed to the new channel but now I have the problem of 2 of the same video in my subscriptions. Guess I'll let the other play in the background during our pathfinder campaign later tonight. Also, if you don't want to watch Madem Web, go watch the corridor crew video about it. Long story short, it is not a good movie..

After next week they'll only be on the new channel! This is just a transitionary phase!

Hey Kel long time fan, still am no matter how this ends up sounding. . .Only getting a couple classes per set in FaB IS different, but your argument that's weird and possibly detrimental to LSS is weak when you build decks for all the things every set in Shadow verse, but are determined to ignore everything but assassin in flesh and Blood. I'm not even sure if that was your argument exactly, but you spent a lot of time on the subject with seemingly no awareness to your completely different approach. Please read this as way less angry then it's probably coming off. I'm just keenly aware of this because back when I first got into flesh and blood I was worried about ninja never getting any support simply because it's the thing I like, and I always seem to like the weird bad ideas. When I was looking to learn how to build a deck your Katsu deck tech was the first I found, and if it wasn't that video it was another from right around then where you said something similar about enjoying building a bunch of new decks each set if you like some of the classes, and just really enjoying limited if you didn't. It's because of flesh and blood and you that I have come to enjoy limited for the first time 20ish years of playing tcgs. I know you don't hate the tcg as others have been claiming, but you do seem to be souring on it and kinda complaining a lot. Don't get me wrong I'm nit that fanboy that gives them a pass on everything, and I loved for instance when the community especially you raked them over the coals for strangely lacking in value Armory decks. I am a Katsu main through and through, but I dabble in the other ninjas. I have emperor, and Kadvaen decks in blitz, (kadvaen is a weird twist where I included everything that cares about being at lower health, and all the healing stuff. It's great until I get my opponent down to 1 and can't be lower health) I have a Betsy (you k ow the worst guardian) Commoner that if it draws the perfect hand turn one sets up and does nothing offensive and then turn 2 swings for 20 overpower. There's fun to be had in this game. I don't know why but it kind of feels like you just refuse to have any

Don't mistake genuine criticism and concern for "complaining". I didn't want to get into the details and harp on it because I KNEW people would take it the wrong way or somehow be offended. I feels like some FAB fans don't take criticism well or prefer not to hear it - like the game is somehow above it all. I'm not saying it to be malicious - just 100% honest as I've always been. The BIG difference is the sheer price of FAB. A SVE deck averages $80-$150, Vanguard tops at $300, Pokemon tops at $100ish while FAB decks average $400-$750 (sometimes pushing $1k). This isn't an opinion, you can do the math and see the numbers. If you compare every game on the market FAB is consistently the first or second most expensive. There's no way anyone can reasonably afford to have a legit CC deck of every class in FAB outside of extreme circumstances. I had a lot of fun at the Mistveil premiere in Tokyo and we had a whole episode talking about that - so why does my genuine critique of this invalidate that to the point that I'm refusing to have fun?

I think Az doesn’t know how decompose and the earth heroes works. Decompose is a synergistic upside, not a downside in any way

Dont worry, we get there eventually later in the podcast lol

I don't know my arse from my elbow, let alone how decomposition works haha Jokes aside, I realise this later in the episode lol Thanks for commenting though, i look forward to the next deconstruction of my mistakes! Cheers! haha
