Congrats on the run Daniel, was watching your semi-final match and that was the most ridiculous high roll I've seen in my life. With regard to Flamewave perhaps putting it in the Estrike slot maybe the way to go. Looking forward to what you guys come up with for a Dynasty version of the deck.

Yuanji and Shane were on some number of Flamewaves for a while. I think it was ultimately cut in favor of 3 CnCs. It is hard to support a lot of 2-cost cards in the deck without a lot of extra belittles

@@tcgrunaways The argument for Flamewave v C&C is Flamewave potentially "draws you a card" and allows a chain to continue and is a more awkward block. Where C&C just says no Dreacts and threatens the Arsenal. I think if you're on MoM Flamewave may be the better call, but if you're looking at value blocking C&C is the better call. Gotta see what Dynasty brings.

@@mikeclark7529 also mostly tuning for the fai matchup, C+C was preferred because you really want to stuff the other fai from being able to full tank your attack and swinging back with a 5 card hand. most of the time C+C cannot be profitably blocked because the fai will have some # of 2 blocks or needs the blue for their hand to scale efficiently

I never really liked Double Strike since it is bellow rate on its own (without a combo piece). It especially doesn't work well when you are not on the MoM plan. With Pouncing Lynx we wanted very consistent damage

When I've played with engulfing flamewave it's almost felt like another kind of enlightened strike in a lot of ways. If you can get the on hit then it is basically e strike with 2 of the modes active

Amazing video, thanks for the in depth content :) I was left with one question: Do we ever not play Art of War? It appears in the "SB" section when the cards are laid out, and the non-block seems to go a little against the plan you suggest in the Bravo/Dori matchup where we need to make the most out of having to block. Are we thinking about cutting it there? Thanks again!

You have to listen somewhere around the 5:00 mark, the rationale here is that blue cards should block for 3, and Fluster Fist, Soulbead Strike and Winds of Eternity are 0 Mana attack for 2, so when Tiger Stripe pumps them, they are basically on par with a red card like Ronin Renegade red. Therefore the Winds of Eternity could also be a Wounding Blow if you want a budget alternative :D Snatch doesn't block for 3 but it's on-hit effect is super powerful, the opponent has to block it, otherwise you are ending your turn with a card in arsenal, so it's always a disgusting card to end your combat chain with.

I dig the changes from Nats, so the matchups where you run 2 Phoenix Flames are the 4-5 turn Aggro matches. What’s strange is when I count up the cards you’d run in the Fai mirror it only comes up to 59 without the P.Flame and only 1 Yellow Belittle.. is card #60 a 1 of E.Strike? The 3rd Phoenix Flame is for the rest of the field then, the longer matchups?

I don't understand the point about Rise From The Ashes being the best card to be Art of War'd. You can't banish it for 2 cards and it will break your chain, and it is typically also super awkward to draw it off of Art of War imho. Can you elaborate?

Rise from the ashes picks up a phoenix flame which is an attack action and when you play it you get the 3 damage from it anyways so essentially you got 3 damage and a card to pay for the art of war banish
