I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Dragon Age, etc). Recover and equip powerful loot for each class of hero for their battles and expand the survivors' camp to reinforce each adventure through the loop. Unlock new classes, new cards, and devious guardians on your quest to shatter the endless cycle of despair.
Infinite Adventure: Select from unlockable character classes and deck cards before setting out on each expedition along a randomly generated loop path. No expedition is ever the same as the ones before it.
Plan Your Struggle: Strategically place building, terrain, and enemy cards along each loop to create your own dangerous path. Find balance between the cards to increase your chances of survival while recovering valuable loot and resources for your camp.
Loot and Upgrade: Strike down menacing creatures, recover stronger loot to equip on the fly and unlock new perks along the way.

Living - Vampirism affects it more, I believe. Undead like the Skeletons seem to give less Vampirism HP. Has a Soul - Seems to indicate that it can come back as a ghost.

Odd's meadow placement is driving me up the wall lol. Just put them next to the mountains and rocks your building, it won't affect the mountain peak spawn.

6:00 part of the problem is doing things like this. Putting too many enemies near each other is increasing the difficulty to no real benefit. Enemy spawners are meant to be spread out, rather than congregated. I had a much easier run on my first attempt (from the demo) by spreading things out. Was able to kill the Lich on the first go.

Another youtuber I enjoy watching by the name of Retromation is also playing Loop Hero as well. He found a neat combination with the blood Grove that requires 2 of them to be connected adjacently. Whereas your blood groves aren't touching. Now if you want to know what the special combination does then here it is. *hungry blood grove: kills enemies immediately at less than 20% hp and occasionally deals 14 dmg to the player* From what I noticed, Retro didn't take the 14 dmg as often as you would have thought. Maybe give it a shot in a future video :D

7:50 If you drop meadows earlier then you'll get their benefit earlier, and you can drop the treasure tower to activate them later. +2 Hp now and +3 later is better than just +3 later.

I could be wrong but I think Beacons numbers stay the same just makes combat faster so better day cycles for you. Also you can retreat whenever and it's better than dying

Chris I got the demo and had some fun. If you can get vamp up to 50% and def of 30 you can tank almost everything (except the boss)

As for some of the modifiers on enemies, there is already a card that affects them, battlefields cannot revive creatures without souls, i.e the slimes.

In my test games stacking evasion (~50%) works quite well, as long as I don't f**k up placing too many monster cards in the same region.

[15:11] New Armor had big HP boost... I Agree not to use it yet... Your gain is more or less holding your current HP steady. I would take it right before Camp when you might gain much more HP than your current armor. OOPS, when you DID take it, not only did your Max HP go up, your HP also went up the same amount. [I thought it did not do that] (Maybe I was thinking of the max hp boost from mountains and rocks.]

Great series especially for those of us merely interested at this point! Question: is the only consequence of dying that you only get to take 30% of the resources back? If you had lived, would you have kept the gear too?

I'm not sure, but I think a rock and mountain on a mosaic pattern are best?

Road Lanterns aren't fantastic, but they are very useful, you could make much better use of them than keeping them in your hand indefinitely. For instance along your huge grove trail you could limit the enemy spawns. Fighting 1v1 is MUCH better than fighting 3v1.

Also just dropping Road Laterns next to your camp is a solid way to limit the Lich's building support.

Maybe I haven't watched enough but from all the stuff I've seen on this game, bonus armor seems VERY weak, compared to many of the other stats like evasion and vamp. Similarly attack speed doesn't seem to be too impactful either.

Just wanted to say, going by the demo I played, attack speed is king. Using grey-ranked items (all points go to 1 stat, so no spread), you can become a tornado of powerful strikes that regen you vehemently with Vamparisim. Combine it with a "stun" skill you can get with the XP-system, you can essentially stun most strong foes and kill most weaker ones before they even attack you.

I feel like there is a little point of max HP as long as enemies won't one shot us? Like... Why tank hits if you can evade em all together or grow back a limb or two.

When enemies do suddenly overcome your regen and/or evasion you'll have a larger buffer. It'll help the hero survive until he can regen enough for the next unlucky patch.
