1:57 Answering the question: If we're speaking in terms of the canon chronology, it couldn't be around book 1-3 because this is his birthday, January 18th. It's Book 5 that starts during January, just after winter break. We know for sure it's January because the SDC is held mid-February, and during the first day of Training Camp, Vil and Rook mention the camp will last one month/four weeks (Source: Book 7, chapters 1 and 22). ☝🤓 LOL jk, B-days follow no canon timeline, so, when saying "this happened around this time on the canon chronology" things just wont add up entirely. As you say, it seems Malleus and Yuu's relationship is on the book 1-3 phase, but if this was happening according to the canon chronology, that would be by the beginning of book 5. It's still not entirely nonsensical because you could say Malleus was already getting a little more used to Yuu's presence by January, and then becomes fond of them when they invite him to the SDC during February; and then, when they go with Rook and Epel to STYX, he misses Yuu. It's a bit quick, but it's not too farfetched.

@ Nope. If you go to the very first chapter of Book 5, you'll see they're already in classes. It might be the first few days of classes after winter break because the characters' dialogue makes it seem it JUST happened. Book 4 is the one that happens during winter break; remember that Yuu and Grim stayed on campus and that Scarabia and Octavinelle also did? They were literally the one people left (besides the elemental fairies that regulate the temperate on NRC) and that's when Jamil lowkey kidnaps Yuu and Grim LOL.

If youre on IOS, you probably won't be able to download it but if you use any other stuff like Android then you can get it, iirc there's tutorials on how to install it. It's an appstore and you can get both TWST JP and TWST ENG apps there ^^
