@@AmandaRaeJean Here is an update. Apparently our kits and cars are a bit different. My pump clamps didnt come with self tapping screws. Instead I have a threaded plate that goes on the inside of the frame. What a PITA that was! Anyway, its all wired and the tank has been drilled. I should finish it up tomorrow. Thanks again for your help and support!
@AmandaRaeJean4 жыл бұрын
@@flyinbrianz22 ours didn't come with the self tapping screws. We decided to go that route ourselves and went out and bought them. We didn't have a bracket for the pump. Sounds like you got it all figured out though! Awesome 👌

Aw thank you love. I appreciate the support and feedback. I'm just chugging along doing the basic stuff we do on our cars. The hard part is actually editing and posting lmao.

I’m having major trouble trying to resecure the blue push factory snap-lock onto the supplied DSX T-fitting. The factory fitting at the end of the factory flexible line came off easily; getting the DSX “T-fitting” inline is giving me nightmares! I’ve cleaned everything with WD-40, applied bearing grease to everything, pinched the blue snaps as Hard as I could by hand. Finally resorted to attempting the pinch with a pair of slip joint pliers! Still can’t get it to snap onto the T-fitting. Question: “How did you achieve the snap?”
@AmandaRaeJean2 жыл бұрын
It took us a minute to get it too, but if you have the blue clip pinched together it should slide back enough to shove it in and slide blue clip back down getting that snap sound. If you pull the t fitting off like we did at 9 min mark, it makes it easier. We still struggled though. See if you can get it to snap in before you hook it to the hardline.. just male sure clip is in correct orientation.

Hey Amanda! I’m about to install this using the same sealant. Have you had any issues with leaking in e10/85 fuels?
@AmandaRaeJean4 ай бұрын
No issues whatsoever. I loaded it on to be safe too.

Gonna do the same. Your videos inspired me to tackle my car. Just wrapped up the cam and balancer. Blower is back from port and Brodix heads just got in! Praying for oil pressure and no leaks in start up 😆

quick question, the fitting that goes into the bottom of the tank, did it ever bottom out or feel like it got super tight with the threads? I feel like I keep spinning mine and I dont want to strip it out
@AmandaRaeJean2 жыл бұрын
It's a tapered fitting. It shouldn't bottom out. As long as your using the right bit. Nptf I believe is what it's called. Then we went just a tad more than most people do, but it was snug, and we overused the goo.
@LukeWaters2 жыл бұрын
@@AmandaRaeJean yeah I used the whole thing lol, I'm probably threaded in 90% of the way in. Works great! Definitely woke the car up with e85

Have you ever had any issues with leaking fuel since the install ?
@AmandaRaeJean2 жыл бұрын
None at all. Just gotta be careful when doing the drill in the tank. Start small. Work your way up. As long as you don't use wrong size. Should be good as gravy!

Mine started leaking outta the tank so I guess Ima have to figure out what the previous owner has done...Im afraid he used the wrong threader and he got it a lil larger than the fitting..Im not sure..Does anyone have any ideas??
@AmandaRaeJean3 жыл бұрын
It's a tapered fitting so maybe try threading it in further.. if it is all the way then either use the next size up fitting, or I've seen people use a bulk head fitting, the bulk head is harder cause you have to sandwich the tank from inside and outside which would involve pulling the tank or cutting the inside to access it.
@LukeWaters2 жыл бұрын
Man i need to get one of these. Any fuel pressure issues/ drops running full e85?
@AmandaRaeJean2 жыл бұрын
no not really. as long as the pump can keep up I've had no issues. just always make sure there is plenty of gas when doing a hit or pull... thats a given, but I forget that often lol
