Sorry Flex, you're wrong on some of your assumptions. Honestly, I did have to look it up, because the concept of "innocent until proven guilty" was one that I knew was in the US constitution but wasn't sure if it applied in the UK. And in fact it does. In the UK, the Human Rights Act of 1998 established in UK law that the right to a fair trial included the language that all persons were innocent until proven guilty. Effectively, no one has to "prove" their innocence. Guilt is what must be proven.

What has bothered me is that if 'innocent until proven guilty' is still a thing, and apparently there are not enough evidence to prove him guilty, but we still say he's guilty as he was not exonerated in a court of law. It's anarchy if accusation and 'not fully verified' evidence is enough to condemn a young man's future. Did no one remember how Johnny Depp was vilified in public by photos and videos taken by his accuser which have have since proven to not be fully accurate. We may never know the 'truth', so I'll give the lad the benefit of reasonable doubt until that changes.

There's a reason why first time perpetrators and juveniles get leniences, because there's a major understanding of misguidedness and a huge opportunity for early rehabilitation. While Yes many go thru these things daily you absolutely have to look at each case individually because what is going to happen is your gonna lose great opportunity for change in individuals who can in turn become great examples and champions because they were offered mercy and forgiveness. I believe there's a lot not being said or known to the public about the true nature and intentions of the both couples, families etc that the club is forced to observe and somewhat defend because you can create a monster of someone who made a teribble mistake or is misunderstood. The Guy is young and I'm sure they both are having counselling, I'd adjust his contract to include some sort of rehabilitation, because this has been a huge learning situation for him, I'd think so.

The way I see it, We ain't know all the facts, & guilt hasn't been established or admitted.. therefore we can't penalise the man for what we "think" happened.. the whole reason we defer to an objective legal system for judgement is because in theory we know that the court of public opinion can be biased and fallible.. Allow the young man come back. To make the argument that the case did not go to trial and so he was not acquitted, also presupposes the fact that he also was not found guilty. Why then would you want to punish him for an offense that remains unproven? It means that anyone who is accused of a crime whether or not they are convicted are in essence noted as guilty. This is not in tandem with the very important safeguard of “innocent until proven guilty” that the laws afford all accused persons. We have seen a litany of cases where people were falsely accused of a crime they didn’t commit. And the false accusers go unpunished, a fault in our legal system. If you have ever been falsely accused, you’d indeed understand my point. Send him to therapy and bring him back.

The pictures could’ve been out of context, there was no video of him hitting anybody. I don't think it's as simple as the club just deciding to bring him back. They must know some stuff that we don't, and they will have to make a decent case for bringing him back, either explaining the "evidence" that we don't know about, or perhaps an interview with Greenwood and his girl. There's also the fact that the evidence can sometimes be misleading. I mean, if you saw a photo of your sister tied naked to a bed you might want to go and kill her boyfriend, until she tells you they were into some S&M, and it was her idea. Sorry Flex but I have to disagree with you in several points. I don't know UK law in and out, but I do have my LLB. There's a massive difference between a warrant, a charge, and a conviction. A warrant of arrest was put out for Mason based off what everybody heard and saw. Mason was released on bail, and investigations continued. The CPS allegedly did their due diligence but could not find anything to charge him with. They then EXTENDED their investigations, and that's what led to everything you said came out, including NEW EVIDENCE that forced the hand of the CPS to drop the case. You do not need to go to court if there is no charge against you. You do not need to prove your innocence for a crime you have not committed. People expecting this of Mason either don't understand the legal process or don't want to. Secondly, you did point out how many unfortunate victims of sexual abuse don't get their day in court. From my understanding, this is because the police never believe them, or can't be bothered to investigate, very unlike what happened with Greenwood. I feel that this is a very serious issue, as is all sexual assault cases, but it should be viewed in it's own lens. Every case is different and should be treated as such. Roping Mason with the lot of these vagrants is unfair. He fucked up, but it's clear he's making amends. No way she's having his child if she feels some type of way about him. The lady is not some bimbo. She's got her own thing going on and doesn't really need him. Finally you speak on working in the community on such cases. Commendable. Wouldn't you then say rehabilitation is the way to go, as opposed to the punitive mob justice that everyone online is clamouring for. 8 feel that people don't really want 'justice' for Harriet, they just want to see Mason burn. Sorry to go on and on about this, but I've been a kid who's done some stupid shit, and that has changed me as a person.. matured me even. Let Mason pick up his life.
