Flex Tutorial - Basic

Hi Zack At 2:20 in the basic tutorial video you show how to rig 2 of the rectangles using grid, which I follow but then speed through how to rig the rest and I don't know what you're doing. When I try to rig my own set up similar to yours it fails every time. I don't know how to rig the rectangles using the rows and columns. It makes no sense that it doesn't work. Can you help? Maybe just a bit of guidance on how to rig the rest of the rectangles correctly would be hugely helpful. Thank you in advance

Agreed that the part that is sped through is whats important, like what defines a column? the vertical lines in my grid don't line up (like variable bricks)

Hi, I 2nd this notion... I've purchased Flex + Slides & Grids together on AEScripts but it's hard to know exactly what you did with the rigging since you fast-forwarded. Zack, did you ever get around to making this video like you said? To be frank here, it irritates me when people put a plugin out there and hype it up but then don't provide adequate usage guidelines.

I'm currently trying this, at the moment solely for what you're doing at :24, but can definitely see myself utilizing this in many other ways. I'm having some issues in the setup for what at that point in time for this video. Any chance you'll be doing something for that any time soon?

Yes! Line mode works on anything 🙂

this tutorial is very useless, there no explanation of how you should rigg the grid. or what should we consider to rigg more complex grids or so... bit hard to buy if the simple things are very complex to understand :S
