After watching this video I have decided that this art form requires a lot of patience which I don't have. I just got doing my back window after watching this video. A couple tips 1. Dont buy cheap crap from your autopart store. You can get better stuff online for about the same price. Its worth it. 2. Take your time. This dude is a professional. Even at his slower pace for this video. He makes it look easy. Dont rush. 3. If you can take out some trim and your deck lid behind your seats. Do it. It was easy for my car and with the little extra effort made it more easy. 4. Seems like for me. Heat up the whole rectangle. Seems to make it less likely to get a wrinkle. I think that is what happen to me. Mine turned out pretty good. I have 1 wrinkle in it. Looks good as from 15 feet though. Lol

I don’t know why my fellow tinters hate on Ralph. To the new tinters in the world understand there is a lot of jealousy. I learned how to tint from a tinter with 30 years experience. He and Ralph have very similar practices. Ralph is a better teacher so listen people this stuff works. Good content. This Lexus and the Camry counterparts are very tough back windows. My training car was my old 01 Camry. Kicked my butt, although most common cars in today’s market are cake in comparison.

After watching this video. I'm glad that I had my wife and mine professionally done! Instead of having to buy all the material and taking a chance I might have messed up! I love the ceramic tint that we have! Also had the the windshields tinted! Now on hot days the AC has to be turned off sometimes!

Sir, what you discarded from the bottom trim could have been a glare strip, $15-20... The extra 3-4 inches on each side will add up to a roll before you know it... I get an extra vehicle or two out of a roll than most of my comp... Ain't pickin on you, bud. Merely an observation... When I do the doors, I always find myself saying "Snap snap, double snap," ever since I watched that video.. Now I envision coming up with a dity that has something to do with rectangles, and maybe even triangles since you kept saying it... LOL! Hey, awesome phenomenal video, Sir... You perfected that window! Anyone with anything negative to say is a super hater, no lie about that! When you went up underneath or started heating up that tint. I was saying to myself that you have to mess up on something. But your skills proved you are a tint master! That back window had me sweating when you pulled it back away from the window. Lol Also, I haven't used a heat gun yet to tint any windows. But I need to learn how to use it properly. I'll mess around and burn a hole through it.

I tint in Australia. Temprature is a problem here. And we got high volume. We use MrSheen for the rear screen to help the film float for the shrinking step. Much quicker than the soap method. Same effect tho can have a sedan rear setup shrunk cut and installed 10 mins tops.

Close to the end of the video you were saying the bubbles could freeze or warm weather etc. If rear window has those gold lines thru the entire width of the window those are the defrost/defog electrical heating wires. Beware if your bubbles get big enough for what ever reason condisation can build up in the bubbles enough to the point there is a tiny puddle in the bubbles. If you have the big enough bubbles and there is tons of condisation and you turn on your rear defrost/defog button you could short out the system. This is one of the main reasons I'm looking into tinting my own window because that was happening to me. I could see tiny arcs happening in these bubbles that had developed that were big enough to encompass two separate lines. These arcs that were shorting out the system can become bad enough to do damage to other systems if this is not taken care of asap. As soon as you notice this don't wait fix it immediately

Best thing I could’ve done was order already pre-cut window tint for my car so I had to do was peel spray and stick. It saved a headache even got my windshield all tinted to 15%.

The film you are using shrinks extremely well compared to the 1.5Mil 2Ply roll I bought off of Amazon. I am teaching myself how to tint and I found curved rear windows to be extremely challenging. In addition to skill it looks like the secret is high quality film and the smart card.

yes I like it. I have a full time job and have my tint shop as a side business now but my plan is to do more and more cars and eventually take the step to make this my fulltime job. It takes a lot of time to get experience and routine and taking everything with small steps is really the key for me. I am still a beginner at this but Im working my way up.

Yeah I went to a 3-day course here in Sweden. That gave me a license but 3 days is only tip of the iceberg. KZbin and trial and error is really the way to go. For every car I do everything goes a little smoother and the result a little better. They say that you can see yourself as a professional installer after 1000 cars. Just 990 to go 🐙
