You could print a tpu seal ring and insert it in a groove in the part. I have done and it avoid leaks very well.

Or cut it from a cork/rubber mat. It is used for sealing and works great!

I live for the day where you will make a pump that does not leak xD. Regarding the idea, I would say that I am not sure about the friction of the blades into the body and overall efficiency of this pump, but it was a good atempt.

You can print gaskets from TPU to seal acrylic covers against grooves in your print instead of messing with silicone.

That laser machine is very cool.

TPU FTW! Would a crush O-ring seal work better than the mess of sealant? Inset one o-ring inside and one outside of the screw's ring with a half circle carve should help a lot, just a thought. You could make the O-rings out of the flexible resin to make a use for it! Or design a flat gasket for that resin, etc. The less leaking you have to fight the quicker you can get back to actually testing impeller designs! Cool laser bed features!

Loved the video!❤ I think you can get better results with the upper part with more space to the impellers. That way they will not bend that much - more fluid volume - less effort from motor - less probability to destroy the propeller. I think I will try that design! 🙂

Do you get more pressure for a given input power than a rigid impeller?

Use lanolin instead of silicone for temporary sealing, it also works as a lubricant that can handle water

Better Help has been caught repeatedly violating patient privacy and providing damaging services over many years. This has even been proved in court. Using them as a sponser is an instance dislike and discontinuation of watching the video. They are potentially very dangerous to the most vulnerable in our society.

You should take a look at Licreate resins. I've used them before for seals and they are very flexible, but have no problem returning to their original position.

That recess in the pump housing is begging for a printed TPU gasket. As long as the rest of the structure is solid, that should solve any leak issues.

Nice, self priming. Typu got loose on the shaft by the end. I think i had seen a rubber impeller like this and it probably was vulcanized to a metal received of shaft torque.
