So ends the Chuunin Exam arc. Best best best arc in Naruto... we get to see the best versus battles against Gaara (Lee, Sasuke, and finally Naruto vs. Gaara), and the best basket full of surprises, new powers, awesome support characters, lore, tearful backstories, and inspirational turnarounds. Of all the arcs, this is the one that gets people yelling at the screen, or jumping out of their chair.

Naruto really pulled out all the tricks from his arsenal, just missing the Sexy jutsu :D our boy got to really shine here earning some more respect you love to see it :) will never forget the moment I saw the fox pop out here for the first time, pure hype and chills all over :) the sand demon named Shukaku, its a tanuki, a Japanese raccoon dog, in the Japanese folklore, tanuki and kitsune (fox) are big rivals :) what a perfect grand finale, got everything we could have wished for :) Konoha fighting back was epic, seeing all the grownups demonstrate their power and tease us with the potential of the kids, Naruto and Gaara gave it their all and are both out of commission, with the narration of the 3rd Hokage as well it was just brilliant :) RIP to the man he fulfilled his duty as the Hokage and died with a smile on his face...what a beautiful send off for the Hokage too, loved that they showed how much he mattered to everybody :) got the perfect tease at the end as well :D

Those episodes are one of my favorites of the whole series. The reflection on the blade is amazing, since they're "the same" I love it. Naruto thinking about what Gaara has been dealing with always makes tears roll. The funeral, even being sad, passes such a deep message. What makes me think about life. By the way, nice timing again. The reason why Naruto could summon Gamabunta the second time and not the first time is because he realised that the true strength comes from the need of protecting someone precious to you. He realised that mid fight.

Not quite it it's because he exhausted his own chakra allowing him to tap into much larger amount of the nine tails chakra that is required to summon him (source: see a previous episode where this explanation was given the first time he summoned him).

Flow - Go!! is goated. Flow makes sick songs throughout Naruto and I love every single one of them. They came to Singapore for Anime Festival Asia back in 2012 I think and they sang this song with the whole crowd jumping!

Sasuke be having trouble processing that the guy he's watching do all this is the same Naruto he's always known. He's also processing how much he cares about his friends for the first time. Save Sakura at all costs, oof. Meanwhile, no wonder Gaara is so f**ked up! He is a very very tired tanuki. I too feel like going into a murderous rage when I've been awake for more than 36 hours. Add in the trauma from Yashamaru, the amount of times his dad tries killing him, and top it off with Shukaku itself chipping away at his sanity from inside demanding blood? Boy needs a serious nap.

I don't want to spoil anything because I love the series so much and I want you to love it too. But one of the reasons Naruto as a series is so beloved is because it has some of the best written villains in fiction. Itachi might be the best written in the show, but it's very debatable.

This episode is exactly why the 3rd Hokage is MORE important to the development of Naruto than what most think. The 3rd taught Naruto that the WHOLE VILLAGE is his family and not just the people in front of him. The basis of TALK NO JUTSU is built upon this idea. To Naruto EVERYONE is family (even though he has no blood family members). Hence why he is willing to accept people who hurt him.

The logistics of the transformation jutsu are kind of wild, and I wish they did more with it in the series because Naruto could have become completely busted with just Shadow Clone and the Transformation used in tandem effectively. Like the misdirection potential is crazy, but the fact that it's an actual, physical transformation opens up a whole new realm of possibilities

That Perfect Possession form is what they planned to unleash in the middle of the Hidden Leaf village, but of course the plans went wrong as we saw. Yeah, what Sasuke said, "what kind of battle is this?" We went from giga brain 200 IQ Shikamaru using his jacket as a parachute to extend shadows so he can manoeuvre Temari to a more advantageous position to two titans flattening the forrest and more traumatic backstories than you can shake a stick at! We've come a long way since Zabuza and Haku... RIP Hiruzen Sarutobi, Lord Third Hokage of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Who will replace him?

for anyone who said sauske is stronger than naruto at this point. this here is proof enough. naruto beat the living shit out of gaara while sauske got his ass kicked from gaara having 1 arm. then he summons gammabunta to fight the 1 tails and beats shukaku. in their final fight before sauske goes to pedomaru naruto could have summoned any of the main toads and kicked his ass easily. sauske has never been stronger than naruto. never has never will.
