I have always used a high table, actually a bar my dad made for my first apartment. I stand and I use a simple stool. I find I can sew and stand without little effort moving to the ironing board or Betsy my dress form and back to the machine. So glad you brought up this great option for sewists.

Okay, this is so cool! I've long wished for an adjustable sewing table. I can see this working for a machine like my Singer 201-2, but not for my Kenmore Rotary, my Kenmore 52, or my Domestic Rotary. I don't do plastic machines with motherboards. ;) Still, it's a cool idea. Maybe I'll see if my woodworking husband can figure out a solution for me.

Thanks! I’m happy I had a chance to see Sue’s (Sookie Sews) when I visited her. I didn’t even realize I could use a standing table to sew!

@@SharonSews Sharon, I plan on doing just that! Measuring for sizes, because I think I want to turn my big living room into my sewing room, freeing up the dining room and the office. I already use a lot of the living room for fabric storage and embroidery. I really hate to give up my piano though. 🥺

That looks like a great table. I truly wish I would have got a standing table for sewing. I do have a standing desk, but it does not move like that one does!

I didn’t realize that I could even have a standing table for sewing! Until I saw Sue’s. (Sookie Sews) I really like having the option to stand up, And it adjusts up and down so easily😀

Hi Sharon! I have been looking for a standing table. My question is does the table shake or move when sewing or serging at a medium speed? I am very impressed by your video on the specs of the table. Thank you for sharing!!!
@SharonSews2 жыл бұрын
Hi! I have not noticed any shaking when sewing or serging. I am going to be sewing some thing today, and I’ll update this answer for you. I have been really happy with the table, as you could tell from my video 😀 I encourage you to check out the videos that I linked to in my description as Sue, Sookie Sews, reviewed two different tables. Those are the two tables I was able to see in person when I was there.

Hi again, I’ve been sewing on it and I went as fast as I could on my serger. There was a bit of vibration, but nothing like I’ve experienced with other tables.

Did I miss how you got your pedal to reach the floor? I skimmed through the video… thanks for advice
@SharonSews Жыл бұрын
Hi! You asked a great question, and one that I did forget to mention the video. My foot pedal is on the floor, because my BERNINAs have long cords. I’m not sure about other sewing machine brands to be honest with you.

Do you find this helps your back? I tend to huntch over and wondered if i stood and sewed if it would help
@SharonSews7 ай бұрын
To be honest, I'm not sure if it would help your back or not as I don't stand and sew often enough to be able to tell you if it would make a difference. I also tend to hunch over and am constantly reminding myself to straighten up. I think there is something in the quilting market for back support - have you tried that?
