Did you buy from DMP? If not, it’s not the same steering wheel. DMP’s steering wheels are plug and play. Others on the market, I don’t know their setup/quality. Sounds like yours needs programming. If it is from DMP, just reach out to them and they’ll get you up and running.

Everyone should use a new steering whee bolt after putting new one on. Those bolts are one time use , i work as a parts advisor at benz.

Yeah, that’s what Mercedes recommends but I’ve never had an issue as long as the steering bolt is showing no signs of wear, I use loctite, and it’s torqued properly. And I’ve changed my steering wheels many times and in many cars. I should get a new bolt going forward especially when they are pretty cheap to buy.

It works the same way it’s always been working. That’s how the car came from the factory. Go look at your car’s manual for details on how it works. The cruise control buttons on the new steering wheel just doesn’t do anything and i must use the OEM cruise control lever. That’s all.

The version I have doesn’t have that feature. Plus my stock steering wheel didn’t have that feature either. If you’re looking for a steering wheel with that feature, then you need to contact DMP and ask them.

my car is an AMG package from factory so it's fine. But if its not your cup of tea, as mentioned in the video, you can customize it however you want with DMP. There's tons of options. It's pretty cool what they can do.

No. Cause this steering wheel looks like the new style but it’s designed for the w205 c-class. You only need a conversion/reprogram if you are installing an authentic OEM new steering wheel on an older c-class.

Just replaced mine and now my car veers to the right when I let go of the steering wheel while driving, do I need an alignment or did I put it on wrong? I just replaced it with another OEM wheel because my leather was peeling, don’t see how I could’ve lined it up wrong when the plugs are there for guidance.

Changing a steering wheel doesn’t cause alignment issues to the car. Even if you accidentally put on the steering wheel crooked, you can still hold the crooked wheel, and the car will still track straight. I don’t know what happened on your install, but if that was me, I’d go get an alignment check asap.

I used the airbag and steering wheel plugs to line it up when I put it on, not knowing that the plugs move freely even with the steering wheel shaft locked into place. Just had to take it off and straighten it out, all good now.

They’re legit. That’s one thing I did a good amount of research on before installing them. Especially when my wife drives this car a lot. These airbags meet all the regulations and the quality is exactly like my own airbag when I compared them inch by inch. Gave me peace of mind that I also installed an aftermarket airbag on my A4 and now also on my Audi R8 as well.

Oh I get it. But you have to remember that any airbag is a gamble. Look at Mercedes oem airbags. A lot were recalled cause they were part of takata airbag issue across multiple car brands and like hundreds of thousands of vehicles.

I did a custom coding on my car using an OBD2 module. It allowed me to install AMG features and disable my annoying seat belt warning and shut off the Auto start stop. I had to remove the video because the reseller stopped selling the module. It was cool. Now I can record track time, know my g-force, know my engine oil and coolant temperature and more.

Any mod to a car “can” void the warranty but nobody can tell you 100% if it will. Not me, or anyone who responds to your comment. It’s up to the manufacturer to determine what voids it cause they are the ones approving and not approving any service carried out. And it will depend on the dealership too. Some are by the book and some aren’t.

Depends on the car but it's usually about 30-35 ft lbs of torque. You need to do your own research for your car's specs.

I like the design of the double spoke but hate the haptic touch controls (as with every automotive reviewer). I have the facelift version and the toggles of the lower buttions and the roller knob for the volume are second to none, It does have a small tough mouse on each size and that is the weakest link

It’s not gonna magically work because it’s on the steering wheel. Car was never designed to have cruise control on the steering wheel anyway. You win some you lose some. I’m not gonna let a lil thing that like stop me from having a dope ass steering wheel. Lol
