Every single concert I've been to, after the show ends, and people are screaming for an encore, I chant: FLICKERSTICK! FLICKERSTICK! No one gets the reference, but that's ok.

Feeling down, holidaze blues. This song is a rope hanging down. A rope to climb back up, just keep going. I cry, yet feel better. Ain't life strange?

I fell in love with this band when I saw them on VH-1s Bands on the Run. They are one of the best live performers! They blew me, and everyone else, away. I even went out and bought their CD as soon as it came out. This song is EXCELLENT! I can listen to it all day! Great lyrics! Brandin is such a great singer, too. When they'd perform this song, it would give me chills.

Bought their debut album in early 2002 having remembered them winning a battle of the bands on MTV in 2000. I've listened to it from start to finish at least twice a year since then.

For whatever it's worth, I have thought about this song and watched potato quality youtube videos an indescribable amount of times since seeing you guys on the show when I was like 15, and it's legitimately one of my personal favorite songs ever still at 37.

Waited all these years for a video to this amazing soul penetrating song and finally we get this ..and I guess it's true about good things coming to those that wait This is heavy and dark yet ethereal and transcendent much like the song itself Flickerstick never ceases to impress and amaze me !!

Really was pulling for the other band(forget their name) on bands on the run on VH1. Then, on the show, they showed them performing this song, and from then on, I was in the Flickersrick van. Loved them since

Incredible and visually stark...sis was going through some dark shizzle and clearly needed someone to reach out. Plus, one of my other favorite delights: a drag queen.

I just now found y’all channel. Talk about nostalgia, I remember seeing ya’ll with Jibe, Doosu, Edgewater and others in Deep Ellum & on Fry St and hearing this just reminds of the scene we had and the music that came directly from the heart and soul.

II like this song a lot, it made the tv show so much more interesting. However, from a musician's point of view, I do not really understand why anyone would do a nine minute song with no bridge, no chord changes in the chorus and just no effort to grow it in any direction. Bass and guitars do some interesting things, but it is still essentially just a nine minute build in dynamics until the finale. I am really surprised Rick Beato didn't convince them to flesh it out more. Four chords does not a great song make.

We didn’t ask Rick Beato to help us make it better. Maybe it’s not for you, and that’s absolutely cool, truly, but it’s exactly the song we wanted it to be. We have a lot of other songs that needed help.
