I had just moved to Las Vegas for a job when this album came out and I would listen to this song over and over again cruising the streets at night looking at all the people and new things.

Been rewatching BOTN and down the Flickerstick hole. Awesome video. Glad their still at it. I had tickets for 9/11. Hopefully they make their way back up here sometime

it is almost ridiculous how good Bleeding sounds. They wrote it, they figured it out and fine tuned it (even more after this performance, like Corey's diddy at the end) and damn, it's a masterpiece. Brandin hitting the highest of notes here.... my lord what a performance

To this day I do not understand why you guys did not blow up commercially! Has to be one of the best, most electrifying bands to in the early 2000s. I still listen to these guys regularly!

I think Brandin Lea could've hit any note he wanted to on this night. Brother was GREAT

watching again. again I ask.. how did this band not reach the highest levels possible? NOBODY has ever made music like this. their style is unique to them. it is wild to me I havent been able to find a band that I love as much as this since them. I like new stuff but it just doesnt hit like this

I think if these guys had come out in the early to mid 90s, they would've blown up. They definitely had a style that fit that era of music a little better. But good on em for doing it.

Sometimes I wish I can be in an alternate reality where Flickerstick reached the success they deserved; sold out arenas throughout the country. This album was seriously the greatest. this band had it all. Brandin was an incredibly special front-man who had the charisma, stage presence, vocal chops and good look to be THE guy. All the lyrics hit so good

Corey is a fine guitarist. The VH1 show focued on his off stage antics and dramas but his guitar sound is stellar. A bite Edge-like.

Only a few minutes in they screw the pooch. “You’re so yeautiful so yeautiful” because some lame vocal coach or producer didn’t want the B to mess up their recording. Then some random dude comes out ,followed by some seemingly random girl, to sing backup? What’s wrong with Rex singing? I’ve got a cassette of his old band,he can do all the background vocals just fine.

One of the very best. I don't get it to this day. They had the best songs that still hold up. Great look, great songs, great energy, good dudes.
I was there. Someone stole my wallet during the third or fourth song. I tried to forget about it and enjoyed the show the best I could. Walked back to my apartment about a mile away when it was over and my wallet was sitting on my doormat when I got there. With everything in it. I love Flickerstick. Thank you.

Ì'm looking at their style... from 95-97ish they rather just looked like kids in their t-shirts/jeans... like most any high school band you remember. Then suddenly in '97??? '98???? They started looking a whole lot more like the Flickerstick we've known... dare I say they start looking COOL instead of (don't be mad) AVERAGE. I wonder what happened that year that prompted the change in their look.
@michaelcorcoran87682 ай бұрын
Fashion was changing as part of it. The stuff you watch them wear a 1995 was probably cool at the time, especially for kids in high school. By the time they run bands in the run, in that interim they were trying to obviously follow trends like the Goo Goo Dolls. Oasis etc

I was at the Machester, UK gigs in 02 and 03. My bro was at this gig I think in London. Got my Welcoming Home the Astronauts album signed, got a guitar pick as well. After the show Corey gave me his beer (I was 15/16). Was drinking it on the way home in Manc town and the coppers stopped me and made me bin it or get a fine. Still listen to the albums 20+yrs later. But cheers guys for touring the UK, they were amazing live shows!

Every song on that first album was absolutely brilliant. They had a certain chemistry that comes along once every couple years. I was very disappointed that they never went any further and I assumed that can all be blamed on record companies but I don't know the history
@Provos777723 күн бұрын
@@josephsantus881At the time there were too many similar bands . Bands on the Run probably hurt them long term more than it helped, especially when it came out that the show was rigged for Flickerstick to win. The constant internal conflicts hurt as well as the record company not backing them. Personally, I just don’t think any of the bands on the show were that good, just decent bar bands.
