It's awesome to see how much y'all show of the actual process behind catching the fish. You think out load about your gameplan, positioning, why you're casting in a specific spot, and even what you're trying to do to get the fish in the net. Most videos just go from the fish biting to the fish in the net. This one let's new people see all the other parts that go into putting the fish in the net. We'll done again y'all 🤘

I love how directive and educational you are. This is exactly what I need and appreciate. I ask myself, "how would I approach this river?" And BOOM, I can double check myself based on what you did or didn't' do....LOVE IT!

Thank you for the information. Those were some nice-looking rainbows. I did have to chuckle at the "re-rig intermission". I know that pain, lol.

In the Driftless Area of the upper Midwest, a Pink Squirrel is the go-to fly when Trout are reluctant. If they won't bite on that, then it is time to hit the bar or go home. ;-)

can you go over the gear you're wearing. ie. when do yo choose to where waders or whatever you're wearing in this video?
@venturesflyco3 ай бұрын
I'm just wearing some neoprene wet wading socks (Simms) and wading boots (Korkers Stealth Sneakers). I usually do this during the Summer when its hot out. We just had a cold front roll through and I think its finally that time of year to throw the waders back on.

A pattern that works for me consistently any time of the year whether fish are rising or not are perdigons of all shapes and sizes. I swear I am the only guy that euro nymps around here with the way these fish wreck this specific fly. I keep them from a 22 up to a 14 to cover all water types and depths.
