After a three-week break for gear repairs, I returned to paragliding with a cross-country flight attempt in Porterville. Although I managed to thermal for 45 minutes, my distance covered was minimal, I couldn't break very high, and I was fighting to stay in the game the whole time. I would blame the day, except that other pilots were higher than me. I would blame the thermal I caught except that I managed to catch a few - they could not all be conspiring against me. I also struggled with my gear's comfort. I need to fine-tune my settings again which a no easy task due to my physical huge size. Despite being the least successful pilot of the day, I’m happy to be back in the skies, ready to learn and adjust for future flights.
