The other Arrows warbirds had CG that was way off and needed lead or a larger battery to fix being tail heavy. This one does ok it looks like. I need to see this one take off on grass before I buy one though.

Have you ever tried the lemon Rx plus? That's what I use in my Trojan and it's really got more stability than the as3x spectrum stuff! I use a dx9 and have all the as3x recieivers but that is cheaper than a regular reciever without as3x!

Happy birthday Gary! I have the T-28, it's a blast on a 4S 2200! If you get it, be careful with the stabilizer. It gets a little squirrelly from time to time.

The tail wheel is weird, pulling the servo is a bear. The tail wheel fits in a piece on the servo arm . Pull the 4 screws and slowly pry the entire servo out. It comes out but it takes a LOT of prying. Can't wait to get mine in the air. Going old school no gyro.

I used an ounce of weight with the battery. 20% expo and only 60% throw.

How much throw do you have on the tail. My Arrows 1.1m calls for 27mm Right/ Left on Rudder . Elevator says 16mm up/down. AILERON 12MM UP DOWN . RUDDER SEEMS AWFUL HIGH ?? I moved linkage to inside on tail horn and pulled my servo on have rod on outer hole.max throw. Can't even come close to those specs. Maybe misprint??

I'll admit that I usually don't measure throws on my airplanes. I just look to see if it is setup for enough control and go with it. Sometimes I really like to get technical with this stuff but most of the time I just want to have some fun. 😀✈👍

Trust me when I tell you, never, ever EVER put the flaps down on take off on a light foamy aircraft. You do NOT need to shorten a take off because the airframe will get up off the deck before you have real directional authority with the rudder and ailerons, and the torque will roll the airframe to the left. Let it roll out for 30 + feet and then feed in some up elevator. Your takeoff will be controlled and far more scale.

Very nice Plane but the servos are absolute junk. 100% plastic. They strip very easily. Especially if you fly off a grass field. The tail wheel assembly is a joke. I customized mine so hopefully it will hold up now. It flips over real easy too. Need to slide battery back and push the CG to its limits.

I’m about to pull the trigger on this one, for the second time. First one’s ESC caught fire as I was taxiing for the maiden 😂. Story of my life. Anyway, was nervous to get another, so ended up getting the Eflite P47(amazing bird), but this thing is just too damn pretty, I love the size and I’ve got two brand new 3S 2200’s burning a hole in my safe battery storage bag 🤣
