I absolutely love how Chad made the build look like a "work van". The ladder is genius. Installing the farmhouse sink sideways was a pro move too.

I like his stealth ideas especially the hazmat placque to hide the shore power port. Smart to have the security cameras for the sides since windows are not an option. Inside I like how the sink is placed vertically to optimize work space and I like how he put an oven in the kitchen.

Very good job Patrick. That was a nice build for a novice. I like the camera for windows idea. Also I don't hear alot of people using the shatter film on the windows which is I think a necessity. I used it on my work truck and it takes alot of work to break thru it. Keep coming bro you do an excellent job and like I said before you let the person talk without constantly interrupting them. I bought a 21 foot Ford Trail light and hated putting the bed up and down, I’ve had it for a while and last year decided to do something about the irritating bed/table situation, I’ve turned the table into a permanent bed by putting a 46 inch sheet of plywood beneath the mattress and the frame that was the seats for the table, I then made a long narrow table on the opposite side and put barstools to it, I love the look and the feel.

I'll give you that my friend great build I love it I respect anyone who is DIY or could do it themselves who don't have to pay manufacture or pay anyone else to do it DIY is the way to go and it's good to be self-sufficient as I am.. this is in case the grid goes down or the system crashes you can cook you can sow you don't have to build you're not doing anything DIY is very very important. Which is why I love it so much and swear by it..

I also love the fully open sliding door area, I'm going to do the same, but have a teak mat on a shower pan covering the entire entryway for a massive nearly 55" by 50" shower!

Beautiful van conversion Chad! We have a camper van (Roadtrek), and love your set up! Great work. My daughter is a new flight attendant just out of training and is in the midst of the stressful figuring out her own "crash pad" options. She is based in San Francisco currently, starting her in flight training in January. She was convinced that a camper van was the way to go also but it seems they have height restrictions on crew parking at the airport and don't allow vehicles over 8'2" an all the van's start at 8'4" and taller. Where do you park your van while working? Where do you park it to sleep/live on your days off?
@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures10 ай бұрын
These are all great questions. I wish I could answer. I know he has a wife and a home and the van is mostly for work. He does not have any height restrictions on the bases where he works currently

It is always sad to see people carrying a propane tank in a van, not being stored in an enclosed locker with gas drop out vent in its floor and having a properly gasketed door with locks. It is interesting to show those videos of people building their own vans but when they do dangerous things, it should be noted so the least amount of people will duplicate that bad idea.

@Vanlifecrashpad2 жыл бұрын
There is a floor level vent right near the tank, which is secured to the wall and floor. As propane is a heavy gas, it sinks to the lowest point. This tank is enclosed in the garage
