I just booked my first flight on Ermirates using miles and in first class. Hoping will meet Pinoy cabin crews. I intentionally chose a longer layover to enjoy the lounge in DXB and hopefully can sleep in the lounge for my connection the next morning.

I agree that EK will need more cabin crew after this pandemic is over. I recall over Thanksgiving and the holidays some airlines in the US had to cancel flights due to not having enough cabin crew available. I'm also glad more cabin service attendants are able to internally transfer to become regular cabin crew! Now I'm curious are cabin service attendants and cabin crew allowed to use the shower spa if it's not being used? After all, it's best for them to know what it feels like to use it in order to prep the customer! :)

Final interview went well, it was a quick process. My experience was just 10-15mins. I got the offer for the position. I accepted it and i’m joining on September. I tried to apply twice earlier this year for CC However i didn’t get in 😅 i’m also in my late 20’s so i took my chances with CSA position. I’m afraid that once i’m in 30’s I might not get the chance to work there anymore

Hello Khie! Great news is, you can have take any degree and still become a flight attendant. What i saw that was really beneficial once you become a flight attendant though is, having a medical background. I flew with FAs who were nurses then and it became an advantage to them when we underwent the First Aid training plus their background gave them the added confidence to treat medical cases onboard. Hello Princess! In emirates, you earn in two ways - basic pay and flying pay. The basic pay is fixed. Say for example, every month your basic pay is 50k pesos. Then the flying pay is paid every hour that you fly. For example, your flying pay could be 500 pesos every hour. So if you fly for 100hours that month, you get 50k pesos as flying pay. In total, you get 100k pesos. So to answer your question about overtime, what i can say is, the cabin crew gets paid fairly because of the flying pay. If you fly 80hours, it gets computed. If you fly more, then you get more money. I hope i answered your question princess and i wish you all the best as you achieve your dream to be an FA ❤️

Ill answer again from my experience and what I know... :) Meron si EK tinatawag na Flight Time Limitations. Also, there is an aviation authority that legalizes how many hours the cabin crew are only allowed to fly per year. As far as i remember, the crew must not exceed that. And I dont recall any incidences where may nalaman or narinig ako na lumagpas sa limit during my time with Emirates.

I mentioned that it really depends on your position and flying pay as these are all relative. If you want a figure, as an economy crew, with flying pay, an estimate of the salary wont go down below 60k pesos. Hope this helps :)
