Hello everyone and welcome back to another flight review.

This flight review definitely came in late! I was not able to edit it immediately due to medical reasons - I had surgery and was in recovery for about 2-3 weeks.
I started doing flight reviews about November of 2018, so I am personally considering this as my first anniversary! Woohoo!
I would have to say that this is an early Christmas gift and biggest surprise for this year. I WAS UPGRADED TO BUSINESS CLASS! I swear, I am over the moon when I found out!
BACKSTORY:
When I booked the flight sometime October, I chose PR508 because I wanted to be onboard PAL’s A330 Tri-Class aircraft again. I booked myself a Premium Economy seat, coz why not, its my anniversary doing flight reviews. The price difference was not that too far from full price economy ticket anyway. I am really ready to stretch out my budget for the ticket this time.
24hours before the flight, I am unable to check myself in online. It made me anxious that there might be something wrong with my booking, or worst, with the actual flight itself. Ive reached out to PAL’s help desk but they could not provide a definite answer why online check in was not available and was told to do the check in at the airport.
It turned out that there has been a change of the aircraft for this flight. Instead of A330 Tri-Class, this flight bound to Manila will be using B777-300ER. I was excited coz it will be my first time to be on board PAL’s B777. It was discovered the reason why I cant do an online check in was because of the aircraft change. PAL’s B777 does not have Premium Economy class thus I was upgraded to Business Class.
SO, WHAT DO I THINK ABOUT PAL'S B777-3003ER BUSINESS CLASS?
First off, I was hoping that it will be the newest Business Class product similar to that of their A350 and A330 Tri-Class. Sadly, it was not, although I kinda expected it already since PAL have not been updating their B777 lately.
Seat was very comfortable with a minor issue found on the headrest. The controls worked perfectly although I didnt try the full flat bed mode.
Food was ok, I was not particularly wowed by the taste. If anything, the inflight meal took a while and a bit disappointing that the main course was a bit bland to my liking. Not to sound too complaining but, they have ran out of champagne as well lolz!
As for the IFE, I already knew just by the look of it, that it doesn’t have much to offer either. The welcome screen was still from the previous entertainment system. There were only few choices of movies, tv shows and music available on board, and I have already watched most of it. So its really like a re-run of previously watched movies for me thus I didn’t really bother paying close attention while watching.
The lavatory was such a shame too. Smear marks of who-knows-what is very visible on the mirror. Its missing basic toiletries as well. The state of the lavatory made me feel that I’m not in Business Class at all.
If there is one good thing about this flight, its definitely the cabin crew! For me, they definitely gave their best the entire time. I admire how they show genuine care by initiating small conversation and making sure that passenger’s needs were well attended to. They were extremely apologetic when they ran out of champagne lolz!
Overall, Im still happy and thankful that I get to experience Business Class even though some of my expectations were not met. I believe that there is always room from improvement.

Such a gorgeous flight report. The amenities and the seat interiors were fully well equipped, and the meals services were excellent. Overall, it was a solid Business Class product 👌

This business (?) Class with the 2-3-2 seat configuration is deplorable. Imagine paying for a premium seat and getting stuck in a middle seat! I'd rather pay a little more on a better airline with a 1-2-1 All aisle seating.
