I see everyone else is sharing their feelings on this song, and I honestly love to listen to this song, it’s majestic, beautiful and I experience sorrow. My sister put this song on our night drive back home and I was only in 8th grade at that time, this song made me feel sad and I started to remember all the happy moments in my life. I still continue to experience this feeling, and brings back the nostalgia the good old days before COVID and my depressive life in High School.

How was this 9 years ago? It was summer, I was turning 20 and life was hard, but it was so simple! No wars, no pandemics, no economic crashes. Rent was doable and Going out to the town was affordable, selfies were new and a guilty pleasure and we all dreamed a world better than this....now I'm almost 30 and have no idea what happened to all that time except watch the world exponentially get worse. And even though I'm earning far more than I did then, I have less spending money to do fun things.... and no one wants to socialize anymore :( What happened to us Millenials on the cusp! Our generation had so much promise and then.....poof.

This hits so hard. I didn’t have a clue how good life was back then. The thing I miss most is that unwavering feeling of hope - of something great waiting for me just around the corner. Feeling so connected to our generation and knowing that we all had that sense of hope and change and renewal. Now I feel like we’ve all become jaded. We all decided to grow up, settle down, and live the normal life we saw everyone else living. We all got addicted to social media and became complacent and stopped living our lives for us, but for the views and the likes. Now we’re stuck in a cycle just trying to survive. Sometimes I come back to songs from this era just to get a glimpse of that hope again. God bless, my friend.
