It's also amazing on here how critical they are of Jeff's flying. When weather auto updates like that happen, it screws everything up and it's out of his control. Happens to me in Flight sim as well, it will update the weather and randomly change the wind speeds causing the plane to just drop or speed up. I would say Jeff did one hell of a job recovering and getting everyone on the ground safely lol

The bad thing about the 737-700 is that it uses the -800 flight model, but they just shortened the tutelage to make it seem like it’s a 737-700... so be careful of tailstrikes

going 250 knots is not going to pull any G's whatsoever. If you fly slow enough under the speed limit, you can basically fly in any turbulence setting (except natural disasters like hurricane.)

I love all the flight videos, I just wish I was more versed in what you were talking about. Especially at the beginning when you're getting everything ready to taxi and take off. It's all greek to me. Would love to see a video where you go over all the preflight checks and what everything means. Trying to get into flight sims and a tutorial video from you on all that would help alot.

yeah if I were you, fly one plane in a sim and get used to it. Then learn the checklist and it will make more immersive and it will make more sense. I’m a student pilot and I’ve gotten familiar with many checklist and it all makes sense now!

Been on a flight like this flying into Atlanta from Columbus Ohio, heavy thunderstorms that day. Was delayed in Columbus due to a Tornado warning. When he finally got up in the air on a small CRJ due to the weather they hand to bring us down earlier than planned and then thread the needle through storm fronts. It was not a smooth flight.

It's a major flaw with Active Sky if it can sandbag you with a killer CB that suddenly pops up--no pilot reports, no sigmets. Until they can get that right, it's not worth the trouble as an add-on. Realistically, you would have had pireps about wind shear and missed approaches by other aircraft who diverted to their alternate long before they attempted an approach.

I flew in to Midway via Southwest from CMH ie Columbus and it was so Windy that day, I kept seeing the landing scene from Top Gun hearing Maverick say "you're too loose cougar" The wings kept tilting up and down, then when we hit and landed, it took the whole runway, the pilot got on the coms and said "Yeee haww, who's ready for round 2" lol

Wish you'd fly in to Tyson McGhee in Knoxville TN, or Tri-Cities AirPort in Johnson City TN. It's a view you'll never get to see again for the first time and it is so beautiful. I've been told we live in a fish bowl with the way the mountains surround us, and upon my return from the military I got to fly in to the Tri-Cities airport in Johnson City and it blew my mind! I knew exactly when I was home! It literally looks like some people cleared some trees out of the way and plopped a town right in it. I'd love you to fly from Chicago O'Haire to Knoxville or Johnson City TN. Knoxville is TYS and Johnson City which is smaller and can only land smaller jets is ICAO. I hope to see you do this some day! I love your video's, Jeff! Keep it up brother!
