Watched this with my kids yesterday. The ship graphics actually still look surprisingly good given they're 31 years old! This entire score was performed on a Synclavier if you're interested. Even says it in the end credits.

Was exposed to this so much as a child and just finally remembered the name of the movie! This is literally the best song ever! No wonder why I’m so into this type of music now! Takes me back to when I was in 1st grade, it would be Friday and my grandma would pick me up from school, let me and my best friend at the time play at the playground for 15 minutes, then she would take me to the library to pick out a few books and movies, this being one of the films. It became a regular title I would always get. Just found it again after hearing the word "navigator" and getting a sudden flashback to the title of this movie. Makes me miss my childhood 😭😭😭

Saw this movie for the first time in the theater when i was 9, was absolutely blown away by it. Still one of my favorite films of all time, and I just watched it again on my 2010 vintage Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 while on a flight traveling for work--after all this time, still a great film (and nowadays a pleasurably good dose of 80's nostalgia!). And I forgot how awesome the opening theme here is until I watched (and heard) it again!

Watched this for the first time with my family . It’s a film Id heard about but never had actually seen. Anyway we were browsing Disney plus read the synopsis and gave it a go . Safe to say we enjoyed it . It’s enjoyable in a way that most of films of that era targeted at kids and families. Being born in 1989 I missed a lot of these first time around. One of the things we had managed to do during lockdown is catch up on a lot of the 80s classics , Goonies , lost boys , Ferris bueller’s day off , Breakfast ect. Our daughters are hooked on them now .

This soundtrack needs to get a proper official release. The sound quality on the CD is utter shit. Just like in this upload...muffled, lacking in detail and punch through out. Would love this to be mastered from the original analog tapes and pressed to vinyl.
