Flight Report | British Airways | B777-200 | Flight BA092 | Toronto to London | Economy Class

Hello friends. Finally, I finished editing my trip report from Toronto to London on British Airways flight BA092 on their B777-200 aircraft. Overall, my experience on this flight was very pleasant. The cabin crews were very professional and courteous. The economy cabin space was good, especially being one of the few airlines left with its 777 economy in a 3-3-3 configuration. The food though was average. I've seen other airlines with better food. The IFE system is old, but it is has great selection of movies. My only complaint about this experience was during the check-in process. Long story short, we booked our tickets as part of the tour package, so our ticket was part of a group booking. Since it is part of a group booking (with only one reservation ID for multiple passengers), we were not allowed to check-in online. Neither were we able to preselect our seats. So we arrived at the airport very early and were the first in line for the check-in queue. When the check-in counters opened, the ground staff told us to wait in line until the non-group passengers finished checking in. This was frustrating for all of us as many of us were not given the opportunity to select our preferred seat. Luckily, there was still a window for me for this leg of the trip. But I was not so lucky on my next leg. British Airways should've entertained all passengers equally on a first come first serve basis. The flight and cabin experience was great. Just the check-in part that was very frustrating.

Very nice review. I am flying from Seattle to LHR in 3 weeks aboard a 777, in economy. I fly a great deal internationally, usually in Business, and usually on Asian or Middle Eastern carriers. But I have flown BA economy many times and it is always fine. Keep up the good work!

Enjoy your time in the Holy Land. British Airways looks ok. Asiana is one of the few who also still has 3-3-3 on their 777-200. It really does make a difference. That power box would annoy me. Asiana's old 777 has that too.

You're right! Air Canadas meal service is terrible. They virtually offer the same meal portions on all their flights. Regardless of weather it is Halifax-lhr, Toronto-Lhr or Vancouver/Calgary -lhr

David Armitage The last time I took British Airways before this flight was in 2012. I don’t remember much how the food was back then. For this flight, dinner was alright. For breakfast, they just served us some bread roll, thats it. I was hoping for an omelette or some sausage but no.
