I loved flying been to the US like 4 times. But something happened last year and i started to get panic attacks inn the plane... now i am scared which is fucked up and weird. I am really thinking of buying a ticket to fly from dusseldorf to amsterdam because its short... crazy right? I mean i did 11 hours now i struggle with flying. But that take off was so upwards it seems scary what was that feeling like ?

I have the same thing! I loved flying all my life and have done so many many times. Then I think at 15 I saw my brother be scared and something snapped, as though I had all of a sudden "realized" that it could be dangerous. So many people have so much faith in that "it won't happen to them", but when we as anxious flyers enter that plane we look for reasons it could be us. Having said that, I have been thinking of trying hypnotherapy or EMDR. If flying is an important prerequisite for experiencing your life the way you want, I think these types of therapy could be helpful. Alternatively, you could do cognitive behavioral therapy in combination with simulation exposure or simply take a mild dosage of Oxazepam to take the edge off. Irrespective of whether you choose some type of therapy, always challenge your negative thoughts while flying, by asking critical questions that undermine the apparent validity of your anxiety. I hope this helps!

@@officialpanda9266 haha thank u and i tried all of it. Started with challanging my thoughts than went over to emdr and now trying 10mg of oxezepam. I have to fly to find out if it all worked. I am hesitant to buy a damn ticket

Cette ligne doit être déficitaire avec un Embraer avion presque vide alors qu’à l’époque KLM avait des Fokker 50 pour effectuer ce genre de trajets si court à faible trafic je n’ai jamais compris pourquoi ils n’ont jamais étaient remplacés par des ATR ou des DASH ? Une autre interrogation KLM a sacrément aussi réduit la voilure à Toulouse alors qu’il y avait jusqu’à 4 vols par jour en 737-700 ou 800 sur Amsterdam aujourd’hui on en est à trois et même deux en Embraer 195 ? Serait-ce l’effet de licenciement important pendant le Covid qui n’ont jamais pu être remplacé créant un bordel sans fin sur Schipol ?
